It is wonderful to hear that you are doing so well. You hit the nail on the head when you said that cancer does not know how old a person is. I just lost my best friend to anal cancer. Doctors do not screen for that until age 50 or with prior family history etc. My friend was diagnosed March 9, 2009 and died May 10, 2010 at the age of 49. We need to change the erroneous thinking in the professional realm = CANCER KNOWS NO AGE! As part of my promise to her, I ask all women to get a colonoscopy regardless of age or family history....a few hundred dollars now could save your life. Aren't you worth that?
The same thing is happening in Trumbull County and the real sad thing about these costs is that they are in addition to nearly annual school levies that the districts expects taxpayers to pass (and my district always used to). The schools expect the children to bring in wipes and other sanitizing supplies so they can clean their areas etc.. I did not realize that "housekeeping 101" was going to be part of a 1st grade curriculum. What ever happened to the school custodial staff (or has that been part of cut-backs too? If so, then that opens a new can of worms. Have you ever heard of child labor laws, child slavery, etc.) It is not my child's responsibility to clean your school. They are there to be educated, period. Maybe [grouped] home schooling is a better way to go!
This is what lottery money should be spent on, not taxpayer money! Mineral Ridge voters just voted down a levy to build a new combined elementary and middle school. The 60/40 deal from the government is not enough to make struggling families vote yes on significantly increased property taxes for the next 28 years. It will probably be voted down again in November if it is on the ballot. Try finding other avenues to defray the massive cost (such as the Ohio Lottery Commission), then maybe the taxpayers of the Ridge and other communities rebuilding schools will listen. Have a clear-cut plan....not just rhetoric and "maybes".
This whole thing is a farce anyway. My husband and I were almost hustled by an Austintown dealer who informed us that they were not honoring the program temporarily (fraud!). Then, he tried to sell us a small 2003 Dodge Dakota for $12,000 with a $1,000 trade in. Now we are not doing it at all. Shame on them. I hope their Chevy dealership goes belly up!
I have read most of the comments made on this subject and I know one thing for sure... most of the people who have posted comments need some serious help with their grammar and spelling. Put that tobacco in your academic pipe and smoke it!
What a beautiful article at the perfect time. My best to both the musicians. Now, I just want to know where I can get the CDs. (May be a relative of Colleen's - I'm Raymond Cleary's granddaughter; one of John Cleary's daughters- Rosemary [Cleary] Nolder).

Search narrowed to four
As a YSU 90' alumnus, my vote would be Dr. Anderson. I know that she would be a great president.
Dear Board,
Trust in our local assets.
Sincerely,

New facility at J-M brings a high-tech perspective

Will you use the Cash-for-Clunkers program to buy a new car?
