Ms Fluke was not a Democratic plant, nor was there any secrecy about her being 30 years old. If you didn't know that, it must be because you listened to Rush instead of the actual news. In addition, the comparison some of you are making w/ Bill Maher is completely invalid. Maher has no sponsors and is on a premium channel of cable. If you tune in, you know what you are going to get - if you don't agree, you don't watch. Limbaugh is on the public airwaves and has sponsors. Asking his sponsors to disentangle themselves from this hate-spewing idiot is completely within all of our rights. And, as others have pointed out, as long as he is not being prevented from vomiting up his venom, it is not infringing on his freedom of speech to ask that our local radio station stop airing him. It seems that quite a few of you weren't paying attention during Civics class in high school!
I understand the overcrowding in the jails and all that hullabaloo, but in light of that, Nitro's Law should be passed immediately, giving judges the discretion to jail offenders like this idiot. Since that hasn't happened yet, the first thing this judge should do is remove those three dogs from the criminal's house. Since none of them are properly registered, the claim that they belong to his wife doesn't wash. Then, the judge should slap this guy in jail for violating his parole - even if it is for a nonsatisfying short amount of time. Then someone should be assigned to check up on the criminal at least weekly - even if it isn't actually the parole people (though why it can't be them is still somewhat vague in my mind). Then as a condition of the criminal's parole (when he gets out of jail) he should have to work at an animal shelter - the employees of which would report to the parole people. Whenever the shelter gets a case of animal cruelty, especially starvation cases, he should be the one in charge of the animal's rehabilitation. Maybe all of that would at least make the criminal scared enough not to do anything like his previous crime again. Or, with luck and eternal optimism, maybe it would actually rehabilitate him, and he would live the rest of his life trying to make up for the cruelty he inflicted.
UPDATE: Hagan petition to get Limbaugh off Youngstown airwaves gaining support
