Not long ago people thought (and some idiots still think) that Global Warming was a myth, now it's too late to prevent it and our children, grandchildren and so on will have to pay for that ignorance while rich got richer. It's really sad to see that so many have failed to learn from that.

Akin's apologized for undermining how raped women feel. The problem is his statement wasn't even about that. It was about the fact that he thinks a woman who has been raped is less likely to get pregnant. As though rape was a natural contraceptive. It's not. He not only makes the republican party look like idiots, but the male population in general. Apparently some village lost it's idiot and he wandered into our political system.

The bar needs to be raised by teachers, students, and parents. Especially parents. Too many parents expect teachers to teach their children everything and do nothing after school to help. My youngest isn't even in headstart and has a kindergarten level education.

city_residentI can walk and my kids as can as well. I wouldn't be able to get to any Walmart but can order what I need from them online and have it shipped to my house.fess2it is correct about the restrooms. They are beyond disgusting! I will walk my kids all the way to the Phar-more building to use the restroom knowing the possibility of them having an accident rather than risking them catching something from the WRTA restroom.

I ride the WRTA buses as my only form of transportation, I'm a single father of two under the age of 5, do not drive, and can't afford to. And I'm voting 'No'. WRTA has wasted a lot of money. I live on the East side and on Saturday can only catch a bus every other hour, they never brought back the Hillman street bus, and only brought back the Warren Express after everyone that used it to get to work moved to Warren or quit their jobs. Yet there are two Boardman Canfield loop buses that run every hour that only get 1 to 5 passengers a day. The county does benefit from WRTA with passengers spending their money at stores in Boardman, Liberty, ect.. But they wasted the money last time why would I trust them again. Trick me once shame on you, trick me twice shame on me.

Speaking as a WRTA passenger, we don't want these children taking the public bus. We have too many kids using it now. A lot of which are ignorant and disrespectful. Of all the fights that have broken out at the WRTA station 98% of them have involved the kids that take the public bus now. I have seen elderly people leaning on walkers waiting to board the bus only to have a bunch of rude kids cut in front of them as if they weren't even there. They have taken up all the seating leaving that same elderly person to stand until other adults or the driver makes one of them move.As far as what thethinker says, it's true, I will walk all the way down to the Phar-more building to use the bathroom if I have to, otherwise I wait till I get home.
