I doubt he had to "look" for this job. I bet if he was a black man and had been prosecuted for the same crime that he would still be "looking" for a job.
Retguy, I'm with you all the way. Stan, I'm an educator. I teach autistic students. Rather important, isn't it? What is it that YOU do? Obviously, the petty things Bindas did in the 70's came to full fruition later in life. It's called GREED. As for people graduating from Ursuline, it's like the "Good 'Ol Boys Club." I also agree that Bindas paid NOTHING. Whoop-Dee-Doo... It came out of his state pension. He shouldn't even HAVE a pension if he stole from the state. In answer to your question, TERRAPINST, yes, I stole a pack of Fruit Stripes gum when I was very little and my father made me go back to pay for it. When we got home I was spanked and it was a lesson well learned because I never took anything without paying for it again.
Stan, I guess you're right... Although the neighborhood was comprised mostly of Ursuline kids. What is it I should get over, exactly? The fact that I progressed past 6th grade spelling and you didn't? Also, the kids of the Bindas family were known as the Bindas Brats... They even broke into my next door neighbor's house through a kitchen window to steal games while still 9 and under. Their mother never suoervised them and was rarely seen outdoors and their father was always working. Maybe I know more than you do afterall. Oh, and the guy from the PharMor scandal... definitely an Ursuline grad.
I agree with you, retguy. I was just thinking the same thing myself... How about hiring someone who kept his nose clean all his life rather than a convicted felon? I suspect this has an odor of Ursuline High Alumni just like the other case I stated above.
This makes 2 people from my old neighborhood who are now convicted felons. How many of you remember the PharMor scandal? Mickey Monus and his right hand man who stole $500 million from PharMor's coffers. Well, the right hand man now has his hands in the coffers of the Diocese of Youngstown where he works as a business manager. I guess Bishop Murray is either ignorant to this or just doesn't care?
GREAT! Volney, a brand new building, is going to close. I figured they were going to go through with closing it. I noticed, when I walked my dog past the school last week, that the grounds were already being neglected. How lovely that the very people who pay the highest property taxes in the city will now have an eyesore to call their own. P. Ross Berry is a new building as well. Our tax dollars at work.
Misterlee is right! Alcohol, although legal, IS where most teens get their start with drugs that alter. Alcohol is a drug but look all the ads for alcohol. Also, as a cancer survivor, I can honestly tell you that Rx marijuana would have been a blessing during my chemotherapy treatments. The day after every treatment I was given an injection of Neulasta to boost my white blood cell count. The effects of it began the next day... Extreme joint pain, muscle aches. The breast cancer rate in our area is one of the highest in the nation not to mention all the other types that seem to be increasing in our area. I go back to my oncologist on 6/13... would anyone like to go with me to see the huge waiting room filled with patients?
Seriously? $60 an hour? While they pay a 1st year teacher around $26,000 a year to teach a classroom full of kids? Now I see what is more important. Money. Oh, wait! The plumbing is important too. I saw a job posting on the YCSD site offering $58,000 anually for a master plumber. Really? As an educator this SICKENS me.
Boardman cops find rolling meth lab
They're in the late adolescent stage (lasts until age 22) and still have that adolescent attitude that nothing will happen to them. Idiots.

Joe_Catz... He should have thought about supporting his family and the consequences of stealing before he ever stole from the Turnpike. 'Nuff said!
