Hagan says he’ll run for U.S. Senate in 2016

Can't stop laughing - this trough feeding joke from Y'town thinks he has any chance outside of the democrat's republik of NEOhio - hilarious. Even most of the good people of Y'town would be embarrassed to acknowledge this guy.

Niles schools seek 2 levies

Wasn't it all that long ago I was reading in the news about the teachers union shaking down the BOE in Niles? And now this - surprise, surprise! (NOT!)

Youngstown board members sound off on supt., each other

Youngstown City Schools: A great example of what goes wrong when you get a bunch of unqualified people who know nothing about what they are trying to do, trying to run some type of public system "just because they can". The results, well they speak for themselves.

About the only thing worse than this debacle is those with the attitude like the poster who seems to think "30 years of experience" somehow makes one a better choice than new, young, blood in the system. Consider: how successful have the schools been over that 30 year period? Now I don't know Hanni from a hole in the ground - may or may not be qualified, but attitudes of "we've always done it that way" breed extinction.

Will right to work haunt gov?

Right to work is the way to go. It need not be the Governor's issue - he has more important tasks to work on. The good people of the state of Ohio can handle this on our own. It will be on the ballot, we will vote on it, and Ohio will become the 25th state with the common sense to address this problem with a lasting solution that benefits all. Well, all except for the most radical of union goons anyway... Sorry Y'town, the rest of the state doesn't want to be held back anymore like you do - common sense will prevail and we will have right to work sooner rather than later.

Youngstown, suburbs sealed Obama’s big victory

It is sad to see after all of these years there remain so many blind sheep in the valley. You reap what you sow, and Youngstown/Warren and the union mentality continue to sow faulty seeds in the valley and continue to reap nothing. You must feel pretty good about yourselves to brag that you helped such a poor candidate win, and how unwilling much of the valley is to even think on their own or evaluate ANY other choices other than the mantra of the unions and a few political hacks that just keep feeding you the same BS year after year. You guys should just break off form Ohio and form your own state: Youngstown/Warren/Akron/Cleveland - set up your utopian world that you love so much and go live in it so the rest of Ohio can get on a path to success without you dragging the state down.

Constitution, redistricting issues draw controversy

Issue 2 is nothing more than more attetmpted interference in our society by the unions. It is one big ugly cluster that the union front groups tried to put in a pretty little package - Ohioans are smarter than this and will vote it down. While the current system could use some improvements, they must be improvements that benefit ALL and not just another union power grab.

Bill would require feds to buy American textiles and apparel

What a dumb approach. Of course the government should buy American, but it should be based on FREE ENTERPRISE. If the American product were in fact better, this would be a no brainer. Get the government intrusion out of the process, remove roadblocks to success like union interference, and let the American product compete on its merits. I agree, buy American is the way to go, but allow it to be for the right reasons, not to pander to some political segment like Brown is doing with this meaningless grandstanding.

Two large Ohio newspapers split endorsements between Obama, Romney

One unsurprising move, another perhaps pleasantly surprising. Just look at the shambles that Northeast Ohio is in, Cleveland, Akron, and Youngstown in particular - they represent the best Obama and the democrats have to offer over decades of destruction to the communities. Now take a look at places like Columbus, Cincinnati, and their surrounding areas - where the regions as a whole have continued to thrive and improve DESPITE pockets of democrat influence and destruction. If you want to evaluate based on results, then pay no attention to what the likes of the Plain Dealer has to say, for look at the poor results it has begotten, rather look to other parts of the state that have been smart enough to break the chokehold the democrats have had on Ohio for some time now - they are better off for that decision, and will continue to be a step ahead of the dunderheads in NE Ohio who won't let go of the failed ways of the past.

Rep. Ryan will play it safe

I can barely stop laughing long enough to type this! Tim Ryan run for Gov??? LOL! It's one thing for a liberal loon to win enough votes to represent Youngstown, but there is NO WAY POSSIBLE Tim and his record could merit even discussion about running for Gov. Ohio voters are way smarter than that!
