Hopefully, the good people of Northeast Ohio, and especially of the Mahoning Valley, have ended the sad and embarassing "comeback" of this corrupt, buffoonish throwback.
I left the Mahoning Valley in 1979. Articles like this explain why. Until my generation of Valley residents dies out, the area will, most likely, remain the social, cultural, and economic backwater it has become. The only slim hope is if the younger people who have chosen to stay, start businesses, and raise families in my home town see "Jimbo" for what he is: a corrupt, venal, pathetic loser whose return to the area should be greeted with the laughter and contempt this buffoon so richly deserves.
Is Traficant's comeback over?
