Juanita.... This has to be uncomfortable for her. All her and Denise kept saying was.... "This is an asset, this is a great asset.... This really makes an ass-et out of her.... Terrible for the city...

I don't understand the logic of this article. Is Steve saying that because their star player was out this year, he deserves another contract? So, he has a 129-210 record a YSU. I understand that the first 3 years of his contract were other coaches players. What is the logic after that? No disrespect but ANY employee that didn't do well 61% of the time wouldn't be rewarded. If your Strollo (Athletic Department) what is the worst that could happen? You lose 70% of the time instead of 61% of the time. Players are going to come in and play hard for a coach that believes in them. I'm sure Coach Slocum does that and cares about his players but Jez, there's nobody in the stands and they are making zero dollars from their program. So, you are losing 61% of every game he coaches and making no money. Try to bring in someone that can bring in some fans. It doesn't matter who. I like Coach but having him there would drive away many that would love to see the penguins start winning. I for one.....

Wow. I can’t wait to see how Chief Rauzan handles this. He has done a great job in the city but this one will be his test. Here's a guy that is collecting a check from the city and then he wants to run it. Really? Campbell people, ask Nick why he is collecting a check and he is not fit to be an officer but he can run the city.... That is ridiculous. This is no doubt assault. Hopefully Chief will do his job on this one.

The problem that I have is ALL the articles have one HUGE flaw in them. They say that this company is getting the financial backing from George Krinos. It's clear that he doesn't have a pot to pee in. So how do you take this article seriously when he cannot finance a tootsie roll at the old Mico Dairy but he has the financing set for $500 million dollars????? Really CMHS68??? His motorcycle just got repo'd like 2 months ago and he is going to be financing $500 million dollars???? He switched his offices because of probably not paying the rent, can't keep the electric on because he pays his bills way late, but he is financing $500 million dollars..... It's just very hard to believe. I'm not saying that it can't happen with this company coming but really really really don't believe they will be coming with the financial backing from George.

Man,Jack needs to quit hating on Kelly! No Danny Williams without Kelly's name, no anybody without Kelly's name. No nice gym without Kelly, no nice house without Kelly. Have a little respect for what built your empire...... Kelly has problems but da*n, respect what he has done for you!!!

Did you read that the parents live here in the County? I'm sure everyone reading that article understands this kid made a deadly mistake. Think if this was your child and they made this mistake. Please have a little simpathy for the family during this time.....

I'm shocked by how so many haters we have in the valley. Read some articles, get Kelly's perspective before you go to all these conclusions. I've read on numerous boxing sights and don't agree with Kelly's decision but he made good points. You just paid me $275k to fight after a 13 month layoff and now you want me to fight for $50k? If I don't win the $50k fight, I'm not getting the $1.35k payday. I don't know...... If I was working for $80k at a job and somebody told me that I'm going to do the same job but now I'm going to make 18K (same percentage as Kelly was getting cut) I probably would have said I'm not interested. Plus, when he was on top, everybody was Kelly this and Kelly that.... Now, everybody is driving the bus over him. Brighten up people. The world isn't falling because Kelly called these two fights.

Not defending his decision but read the article on that Boxingscene.com. He actually made a lot of sense. He just took a huge layoff, came back and fought his last opponent for like $825k. Now, after he wins that fight, he has to fight for 50K???? There is no guarantee that he gets that 1.35 million dollar payday if he loses this fight. The contract for the 1.35k payday comes in and they say you have 2 days to sign and get it back to us????
