And by the way, since they're not here, they are obviously not defending the actions of the coach, are they?? No -- the school dismissed the coach, admitted to the violation, and did the right thing. And still, you b-----. Can't win, so we might as well not argue the point.
The Mooney and Ursuline alumni are right here, antiyoungstown, sitting back chuckling at all of you haters who wait for anything to happen that can allow them to lash out and bash us. There is absolutely no point in making an argument with you people, bacause you won't listen. You just want to attack the private schools at any opportunity. I'm not defending what happened in any way -- the rules should be followed, and the schools should pay consequences. But it really is comical watching the anti-Catholics come out of the woodwork at any opportunity.
Well said, kensgirl. I agree 100%. Instead of having concern for the safety and well-being of the students, and the future of the Mooney family, the Bishop caved. Both of us, and both of our children, are Mooney alum. They will see no more contributions from us. What a waste. It breaks my heart to know the future of Mooney is doomed. I agree that it wouldn't be the same in a new location, but sometimes we have to face reality instead of sticking our head in the sand. That location is not going to survive.
Oh my God, gdog. Seriously bud, grow up. Mooney hasn't gotten out of the district in 15 years, but now that they finally do, they recruit in basketball, too?! Quit whining and work on making your school a winner instead of complaining about other people's successes.
Nice try at damage control, toycannon. But my exact thoughts when I read the article this morning are precisely what 123456 said: Lovely comments coming from a head coach, and quite the example for the students and athletes.
Why do kids "belong" to their "hometown" school districts? Does Canfield have their own Catholic/private school for parents to send their kids to, if that's the education they choose for their family? I chose to send my children to a Catholic school, and I STILL pay my real estate taxes to my district. Sorry, but nobody owns my kids but ME, and it's MY choice where they go to school. And second point -- why would kids stop going to Mooney just because the local public school won't play them?
50% of college graduates can't get jobs or are underemployed.
The debt continues to rise rapidly, putting our children's futures in jeopardy.
He has destroyed our relationship with Israel, our strongest ally in the mid-east, while the region is turning more and more against us.
He has abandoned the Delphi retirees.
He ignores laws (even his own) to suit his own purposes. He sent a letter to Lockheed Martin telling them to ignore a law HE HIMSELF enacted requiring defense companies to give 90 days notice of major lay-offs, in order to not hurt his re-election chances. AND he promised them that if they are hit with any fines, taxpayer money would reimburse their litigation costs! How are you not outraged by that???
I could go on and on, but you get the picture. Or do you?
So Colin Powell is the only "respected stateman" who's endorsement matters? Wow. That's impressive.
Oh I see, we just pick and choose which "endorsements" we respect. Only Glenn Beck and Colin Powell count.
And THAT'S your argument for re-electing Obama. I gave statistics about the state of the country after his first term (and there are many more), and you offer up an endorsement.
Obama promised to cut the debt and deficit. It's increased by 50%. He promised he'd have unemployment down to around 5%; it's gone up to 8%. Welfare recipients have sky-rocketed. Family income has plunged. Gas & food prices are through the roof. The middle east is in turmoil while he makes the celebrity rounds. And 4 Americans died in Libya after calling for assistance 3 TIMES within 7 hours, only to be denied. And he continues to lie to the American people about it to cover his own butt.
And all this while he was facing re-election. Imagine how bad it's going to be this time when he doesn't have to worry about answering to the voters in 4 years.
He can't say anything good about his own record, so he just tries to bash Romney and bring him down. Oh wait, I forgot -- "I killed Osama bin Laden". As if any other sitting president would have not given the same order when told our military had him in their sight.
If that's all he can brag about in 4 years, I'm ready to give someone else a chance. And if he's got some great plan to make things better, why hasn't he done anything yet? Oh, right, he's waiting for his second term. This was just his warm-up.. Sorry people, he himself said in 2008 that "if he couldn't fix it in 4 years, then this will be a one-term proposition."
That's the only thing he's said that is the truth.

Bitter rivals Mooney, Poland to meet Monday

Pathetic.

Stupid comment, bud.

Thousands rally for Romney and Ryan in North Canton
ROMNEY doesn't tell the truth??!! And OBAMA does??!! And who told you that Romney doesn't tell the truth? Obama? And he should be believed why?
Anyone who believe anything that comes from Obama isn't even worth an argument.
Enough said.

Here are a few more reasons to vote Obama out:
