About 3 yrs ago my 16 yr. old dog was attacked & killed by a loose pit bull on my front porch. The dogs were fighting when the police arrived. They sprayed them with pepper spray but it didn't help. Finally I screamed for them to do something and they did shoot the pit. My poor dog fought for his life & lost it. More needs to be done about violent dogs. What if it had been my daughter or myself attacked. Dog Warden never came.
In 1986 the Lincoln Knolls Plaza was a very nice and safe place. I live in Campbell and would never have taken my children to an area where their safety would be a concern. I don't feel trapped in Campbell. I choose to live here and have done so for over 20 yrs. We have never had a real problem and have fantastic neighbors. I feel sorry for people who are fearful of everything different from their own lives.
I can understand that budget cuts can hinder some things but this is not about budget or any financial situation. This is about human beings and the compassion that the families of the deceased deserve. I say Dr. Kennedy needs to be in another line of work.
This is so very sad. My mother grew up in Campbell (I always used the p and b)as well as myself, brother, sisters and cousins, my husband and our children. People here never seemed to have any pride even tho there are more good people than bad here. Everyone runs away instead of trying to make things better. When my husband coached our daughters' softball teams it was great. I think a little prayer to our Maker is in order.
I know that hitting a deer while driving can be deadly. Glad your fiance wasn't hurt badly. Let's put all this behind us and pray something similar doesn't happen again. Unfortunatly humans are creating more space unliveable for all wild animals.
Of course a deer is a wild animal and should be respected as that. To aeparish, I'm sorry your car was cornered and beaten to death with a board by a group of deer. You have a right to be angry. Vicious animals!

I believe this is a very good thing for our young people. Hopefully it will save lives and help them to respect each other. Glad this is happening.
