Teams write new chapter in Valley’s football tradition

Mark Sweetwood - God Bless Your Soul!

Too many posters forget that these are kids they are trashing - not institutions but teenagers. They have practiced long hours and worked hard and those games yesterday were a joy to watch.

They have accomplished what so many adults have failed to do: They have brought good publicity to this area and something to celebrate.

So, thank you for putting a stop to this hateful bashing.

And, God Bless the Irish and the Cardinals, too!

We turn out the stadium lights on Blitz coverage this season

I can't believe this column sat out there for a week without any comments. Such a sad community - so many risk carpal tunnel syndrome in their rush to repeatedly complain, find fault and trash their neighbors, yet when there is an opportunity to say "Good Job" there is only silence.
The staff of the Vindicator does a tremendous job with High School Football. I cannot imagine the amount of work that must have gone into this year's effort. I'm also sure that readers would have a hard time finding another newspaper that puts out a product that can even begin to compare to the Blitz.
With all that is wrong in our area, and with all the bad choices that some young people may make, it is refreshing to read about the accomplishments on the playing fields and the achievements of our local football teams. I applaud the Vindicator for giving so much time, effort and space to something positive in the Valley.
Good Job.
