Lawsuit for "loss of business"??? Ha, what a joke. "nothing from nothing, means nothing"...... Girard should feel good that they saved some unexpecting people from throwing their money away for a terrible experience. Good job Girard!
It's just so sad to watch this hotel die, over and over again. I just don't understand what makes "these" owners think they can buy a hotel and run it, just because they can. There is a reason, that so many people ask if the hotel is Indian owned, and walk away if it is.
When Sammy bought this place, she stated she had to sell her other properties in order to obtain the Metroplex. That move alone proved that she didn't have the funds to get this hotel up and running again. When the Holiday Inn took their flag, it was because the place needed about 2 mill in improvements, and the owner then, couldn't do it. Not sure how Sammy thought she was going to accomplish this, but surely it wasn't by hanging a flashing neon "open" sign on the front door. It can come back, but it needs someone with deep pockets, and a really good staff supporting them.
