What a great idea. Propose a "plan" to build a $350M project and if someone else raises the money, you take all the credit and if the plan goes up in flames (as it most likely will) everyone will blame local political foes. It's a can't lose proposition for Dumbo, I mean Jimbo!
People who know they are wrong resort to name-calling and badgering so Clem, take a deep breath and admit that you really don't know what you are talking about and are only using this public forum to vent your frustration over some security guard at a hospital being rude to you. Your grand illusion that you are going to change the world by picketing TMH is beyond laughable.
Clem, every one of your "facts" is an opinion. Please know the definition of simple words before posting your OPINION and try to pass it off as a fact. Here is a FACT. You don't know what you are talking about. lol
Clem read one textbook and now thinks he is an expert on the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. He is just another punk kid who acts like he knows everything about everything when in fact, he hasn't had any real life experience other than getting in trouble by mouthing off to anyone in authority. Civil disobedience is not about acting like a jerk then blaming someone else when you have to pay the consequence. As for this incident, you continue to say no one knows all the facts but then agree with anyone who supports your position. Look in the mirror Clem, you are EXACTLY the type of person you purport to hate!
Nunya, is English your first language? It appears you pull words out of a dictionary and put them together in no logical fashion and call it a sentence. In the future, please do everyone a favor and try to form a cohesive thought and use words that you actually know the meaning of. Then we might have the opportunity to see if you can make a point. As it is now, I start to read your post then get so distracted by your propensity for alliteration I stop reading. Based on what I can decipher, maybe that's a good thing.
You're arguing semantics. (no one is ever "put into a position to overreact"). For every action there is a REaction and if threatened, or if one senses they are in danger, adrenaline kicks in and heightens the reaction. The "suspect" initiated a confrontation and escalated it until the officer decided he had to use use his weapon to attempt to end it. Did he panic? did he over-react? Was he frightened for his life? We don't know which is why I say he MAY have over-reacted.

There may be some culpability on the part of the bar if they served Cory that night but quit trying to absolve the kid of all responsibility. No one forced him to go to the bar and no one poured beer down his throat and no one put him behind the wheel of his car. He made those bad choices and now he has to suffer the consequences in court. By your logic, no one is EVER responsible for a drunk driving arrest because hey, the bar shouldn't have served him ANY alcohol.
So the Cory apologists think the officer should have "counted to 10" (by which time the car may have struck a bystander?) or spoken to him in a "non abusive manner" so the kid would have respect for the officer? Newsflash, the badge grants the officer the respect and the kid should know that. Does the officer know if the guy in the car breaking the law is a "good kid from a nice family" or a thug? No, all he knows is the kid disobeyed a police order and whether he was struck or nearly struck by the car, felt threatened. Let's face it, even if the kid just tried to flee the scene he was wrong and he was the instigator.
I am trying to phrase this so as not to assume facts not proven but let's face it, the kid put himself in a bad situation and then made it infinitely worse with each decision he made. Did the officer overreact? Maybe but why did Cory put him in a position to overreact? Could it have been handled differently? Certainly Cory could have obeyed the officer and it's over. And the officer? Yes, but who knows if the results may have been worse? What if Cory lost control in his effort to flee and struck and killed an innocent bystander?
The point is, we have two separate issues to resolve. First, did Cory break the law and what laws were broken? It seems pretty clear the answer is yes and he should be punished to the fullest extent of the law (not shot "like an animal"...really people, use your brain)
The second issue is how the situation was handled by the officer and if the officer did something illegal, he should be charged. Note, I didn't say "if he used bad judgment" or if he "could have handled it differently" because hindsight is 20/20. If that is the case, use it as training for future officers and put this officer through more training then let him get back to work.
Sorry for the long post but it exhausts me to see people trivialize what Cory did to get himself in trouble in the first place and then blame the officer for using bad judgment. Hold the kid accountable for his actions. If there was wrong doing on the part of the officer, hold him accountable as well.
This post proves that most people skim over the content of an article picking out some tidbit that may "prove" their point. I suggest you read the entire article and all of the comments before trying to turn this into a race issue. I understand that "thug" has some racial overtones but there are plenty of white and hispanic troublemakers who might deserve that label.
The ultimate irony will be if Jimbo loses by one vote since we all know CONVICTED FELONS CAN'T VOTE! Maybe there's a lesson there?
Remember, in the American political system, you get the representation you deserve. If you vote him in, you deserve to be stolen from, lied to and cheated just like he did (and was convicted of) last time.

Traficant makes November ballot as independent candidate
*sigh* Can't he just do everyone a favor and GO AWAY?
He is an embarrassment to the area and will do nothing more than distract attention from the genuine candidates and the issues that need addressed.
