Dr Kennedy is my family Doctor. He is the kind of doctor we all wish we had. Very caring & compassionate. He cares about the valley too. I think too much is being made of this at Dr Kennedy's expense. He took this job when no one else did & did it for next to nothing. Where can you find someone who cares enough to do that? The other coroners who commented have no business sticking their noses in where they are not wanted. If Dr Kennedy is voted out because of this incident (since no one has been running against him) we will see how great these other coroners are when the bodies from Mahoning county are sent to them.or they are called for us. Dr Kennedy you have my vote.
I have to stick up for Dr Kennedy. I remember when he was 1st elected & took hardly nothing in pay until things got straigtened around. I do not imagine it is an easy job in Mahoning County being coroner. He is a very caring man & you should not criticize him if you do not know him. Think about this too . He has run every time with no one against him. They are not exactly beating down the doors for this job SO you can vote him out but what you will get is the bodies sent out of the county for autopsies. That will cost a lot more than someone who is doing the best he can with what he has. He will have my vote everytime he runs. I trust him completely.
Want to add you also have the common sense needed in government that we see so little of. Thanks for being our congressman all those years. If you run again for anything you have my vote
Welcome home Congressman. You are the only one I ever wrote that answered me personally when I had a question or problem. I do not care what others say YOU CARED ABOUT THIS VALLEY God bless you
It says in the article they will also recieve 1.08 mil to purchase 12 smaller buses & 5 vans. BUT as I said before they NEED to work on the bus station itself if we are talking construction. That is an eyesore inside.
I think any construction would be needed in the bus station itself. The bathrooms are a disgrace. What a greeting for anyone coming into Youngstown via greyhound.
The buses no longer go to Warren. They only go on Belmont & where the hospitals are in Trumbull county. The bus rates have been raised, they have cut out lines & cut out runs within lines. There have been plenty or cuts & raises in prices.
I voted for the levy. I live in Cornersburg. I am disabled & the bus is the only means of transportation I have. Put yourself in my shoes & see how you would feel if your only means of transportaton was in jeopardy. I also can not understand why our elected officials do not work to get federal money to help in this crisis. It is important to builing up Youngstown to get a good form of public transportation. I have written letters & sent countless emails . They seem to fall on deaf ears. We need to get past the 'money issue' & look into the human aspect of this. The many people who depend on the buses. Thanks for letting me express my opinion.
Other coroners differ with Kennedy's behavior
