Not to worry...there will be nothing to split since I DO NOT think the project will ever get done. Oh, sure, the owners of V&M will make money...but not by making steel; but by taking the money from grants, etc. So, Mayor Melfi, relax because there will be no profits to share!

Remember, this is a plan for a 'study;' only. And, with anything Ed Matey has been involved in, you can be sure it will be thorough, fair and complete.
I also wonder what the cost is per game at YSU?

Kelly WILL NOT beat Williams. He has not been as sharp nor as fast as he was early in his career and won't be much better Dec. 5.

Brilliant delivery; but too much lilke a campaign speech. He threw out numbers...30 million; 900 trillion, blah, blah...but did not give any specifics.
He is going to save a bunch of money by trimming waste and fraud in Medicare and Medicaid...is that like the wolf guarding the hen house? Those two government run programs have been a problem over the years and he thinks they will correct the waste now?!?!?
Sure hope Traficant delivers the same type of speech BUT have something specific to say instead of glowing generalities!

Once again, in addition to the ticket for the concert, we had to pay an additional $7.00 to get into the Fair. And, there is nothing I want to see at the Fair that is worth seven bucks. You should be allowed into the Fair free...within 1 hour of the show start time.

Todd:
Good article on the Fair and how the Board of Directors may have changed over the years.
I can remember having a talk with one of the now deceased Fair Board members. I asked him why they don't consider a Seniors Day at the Fair. I based this on my dad who had just retired (1978) from Youngstown Sheet and Tube and was collecting a meager $42.00 per month after 44 years at the mills! This board member snapped at me and said, "Seniors have the most money of anyone in the County...they should all have to pay."
While I know there are expenses with the Fair, I also know they charge for entries in the various displays; plus the space for each vendor, etc. We will never get a full and honest income/expense report from the Fair. And, years ago, when Tom Williams wanted to get some 'regular" people on the Board to replace some "good ole boys"...wow you should have seen the reaction of the Fair Board. You would have thought Tom wanted to shoot some members! Ask Tom about it.
While it may be difficult to cut expenses, I suggest they start with the youth parking cars. I went to the Fair on Thursday afternoon, and there were about 40-45 young people (about 10 feet away and sometimes closer) all directing me where to park. I'm positive they could have gotten away with 10-12. That's just one example.

Mr. Colaluca is an excellent choice as superintendent! He has a solid educational background and was responsible for many changes in the curriculum. As for experience---he has enough! Maybe AtownParent should run for the Board to see how thing operate.

Many thought that with the election of Mr. Moliterno; things would change. They did not. He did nothing to distinguish himself as a fiscally responsible trustee. Now, it's time to vote him out as well as the other two when their elections come up!

I know several people who were and are still employed by Henry Nemenz and they all praise him. He has worked their hours around college courses, graduation parties, weddings and has been more than fair with his wages. Thank God we have Henry and those pickets should go and get a real job!
