Blast at Ohio gas site kills one

Since they've began drilling for resources in this area, as well as disposing of the chemical byproduct through fracking, we've seen dozens of stories like this. The people out there protesting are labeled crazies, and the idiots who sit back and let it happen are, well, idiots.

At some point, and hopefully sooner than later, more people will have to wake up and realize that this is a short term solution to a long term problem. With increases in spills, accidents, explosions, etc., it is becoming clearer that this technology has major faults, and with that, raises concerns to the safety of the residents who drink from the contaminated water, farm the spoiled land, and deal with the dangers associated with oil/gas/frack wells.

New downtown restaurant at former BW3 to open this month

Really? Aren't there enough of these peppered around the Mahoning county? They could have turned that space into a number of things let alone another shady sports bar. Pizza and Mexican doesn't sound like a good combination either they need to stick with one type of menu or the other.

Youngstown police investigating city's 16th homicide

God bless the family and friends of the victims. It's a shame you have to watch you back and carry weapons to protect yourself. How do these thugs continue to come into possession of these weapons? Every time the task force does a sweep, they end up confiscating dozens of weapons, how many of those weapons are traced back to the crimes and murders going on in our area? Are those offenders even prosecuted and given proper sentencing? What is a real solution, not a crack job fantasy some of you have, but a REAL solution to these problems we face here in Youngstown/Boardman?

Youngstown teens may face life in prison after conviction in 2011 murder of Adkins

These boys need to be punished to the full extent of the law. What they did was cold blooded and heartless. God bless the family and friends of Adkins, and protect the witnesses for letting the truth be known.
