I appreciate everybody's comments good and bad. The bottom line in regards to Kelly is that he has a disease called alcoholism. I've known Kelly and his brothers for some time and he is his own worst enemy. As a former Mahoning County resident, I love seeing our local people do well. Youngstown has a lot of jealous people who are just waiting for local, successful people to screw up! It is the whole Youngstown mentality--which most people never lose. The best thing he could do is move away from there. There are too many enablers around him who call themselves friends, but they really aren't his true friends. Kelly doesn't have much time left in his professional boxing career and there is a high probability that he will be dead broke in 10 years if he hasn't invested his money wisely. Remember, Jack Loew took his cut, so did Kelly's managers and so did Bob Arum of Top Rank. Between those people, they got a 10% cut of anything Kelly has made and that equals to about half his income. I know Kelly spends money like a drunken sailor and since Kelly does not have any business acument at all, his small fortune will go away-GUARANTEED. If guys like Warren Sapp, Mark Brunell, Christian Laetner, T.O and so forth are going broke after making over $75 million dollars in their careers, Kelly has not even come close to making that kind of money--it is inevitable that he will one day go into foreclosure. Remember, his earning potential is already starting to dwindle because of his arrogance and his earnings were good, but there were no mega-deals that he ever had. I truly hope I'm wrong, but Kelly never saw things in a long term frame of mind. Since he has found a little fame (mostly regional) because he has NO star power like De La Hoya, Mayweather etc, he has a sense of entitlement. His Dad never should have been anywhere near the ring (What gives his father credibility as a boxing manager?). He's also got many leaches to rid himself of. His Uncle Mike Cefalde would sell his soul for a taste of fame, and not only is Cefalde "an expert baseball talent evaluator," he's also an expert boxing promoter-LOL. If Kelly keeps his focus and stays away from the booze, the sky is the limit for him. He just needs to rid himself of the true Youngstown leaches that he has carried since becoming champ and focus on fighting and his family. I'm rooting for you Kelly, but I am a brutally honest person so some constructive criticism is warranted from a fan who has spent thousands of dollars traveling to your fights!
