An excellent comment DOCTORGONZO! As those of us that are educated know public figures do not fall into the category of libel comments, it falls under the ammendment of freedom of speech. "poor Lamar" as you stated is doing just that, doing business in an area that has one of the highest unemployment ratings in the country. For people to think the ad is offensive or derogatory are nothing more then uneducated and prove that they know nothing about the issues at hand. Lets act like adults and vote for the issues at hand instead of acting like a bunch of idiots that focus on anti-political ads. This is suppose to be a free Country based on our civil rights. Where illegal aliens fall into this particular event is beyond me, if you folks have an opinion at least have the brains to stick with the issue we are talking about. I am sure Lamar has recieved negative calls, but at what expense? It just sounds as if people are looking for a reason to complain and find fault in others rather then vote based on facts. No wonder our economy is in the crapper!
I think the billboard shows two things that are very important. 1) The obvious affect that billboards have on the advertising public and 2) There is still such a thing as freedom of speech. If it bothers so many people why don't they put up one of their own. The message may seem to some to be in poor taste, but beyond that freedom of speech is an American right. If this message would have been censored then you would know that your not living in a free society that many people have lost their lives preserving.
