Was it a bad decision to give high school students alcohol and cigars? Absolutely. Did it show extremely poor judgement on the part of the parents who supplied these items? Unequivicobably, yes. Does this act warrant prosecution by the police? No freaking way. By all accounts these are good parents and upstanding members of our community, who made some bad decisions in the midsts of the euphoria of a state football championship. This should be handled internally, those responsible should be reprimanded by the school and boosters and we should move on. I'm sure the publicity this has garnered and the embarrassment to those involved should be motivation enough that this act of sheer stupidity will not happen again!
