It seems like just yesterday, but it was 25 years ago. I will never forget the sound. I had left only a short time before to return to the airfield. Not a day goes by that I don’t shake my head, could we have done something else.
God bless these young men. God bless and watch over their families. I will never for get the young red headed Lance Corporal that told me to be careful there were bad guys out there!
