She was knocked down from an A to a C plus, NOT because she didn't make an A on her exams, NOT because she was disruptive in class, but because she sat back and listened and didn't speak out. Oh yeah, she DID apparantly speak out on her political beliefs when it came to gay marriage and for that she was punished and given a lower grade. I hope she gets an additional $20 million in damages.

Guilt is to be determined by 12 jurors. If they are guilty like you (and I for that matter) think they are, then the State of Ohio can prove it in a court of law and then they'll be sentenced. The US is a civilized country and God forbid if we start reverting to vigilantyism. Everyony wanted to castrate the Duke Lacrosse players a few years back, they were punished before trial (kicked off their Lacrosse teams and expelled from the university) the ONLY problem was that they DIDN'T commit the crime of rape that they were accused of. They were steryotyped as being spoiled rich brat athletes! I guess if you've ever played a sport from fishing to football, it means you don't respect women and you condone rape, isn't that what everyone said in the Duke case?
Kurt is right. Everyone has a right to DUE PROCESS and these kids are no different. I don't understand why everyone is up in arms over this. Explain to me where there is a cover up? The public is acting as if they've had a trial, been found guilty and then not punished. I bet it's the same people who wanted the Duke Lacrosse players sentenced to the death penalty a few years back. No one is saying the kids are INNOCENT, but they are innocent until PROVEN guilty. They have their right to a trial. These things take TIME, witness interviews, lab results (if there are any) examining the audio as well as the video etc... No one is condoning rape or violence, but EVERYONE has a right to DUE PROCESS, if the kids are guilty, the state can prove its case in court. People act as if the Police and Prosecutor's Office should have known about the alledged rape before the video surfaced. GROW UP.
