The legacy he leaves! Mr. Klingensmith was all of the things mentioned hands down, he was Friend. Coach. Role model. Idol. Legend. A good man. A gentlemen. He always was the one you did not want to disappoint. He knew how to motivate us, to work longer and harder then we knew we could. He got more out of us then we ever thought possible. The lessons he taught on the court frequently carried over to the roads in life. We may have not knew that then, but most of us know that now! I am fortunate enough to have known the Man, but honored to have played for the Legend! He truely left a Legacy behind! God rest His Soul!
So these three gentelmen are making the decision on their own of who is going to be the fire chief? Now, someone correct me if I am wrong, but one trustee is self-employed as a auto-glass installer, the other is a part-time school bus driver, and the last one is a retired school bus driver/farmer? How many job interviews have they been on in there lifetime? Let alone have conducted? And they are making a decision of who is going to be leading there volunteer fire dept, most likely after they are no longer in office. Or is this just the first part of a process of interviews with possibly narrowing the numbers down and then having outside chiefs help with the selections or even some of there other dept. officer core assist in making the final decision. But god knows that would take something called vision or foresight, one thing that is lacking in the adminstration of Springfield TWP!
Klingensmith’s legacy is still felt at Springfield
