When is our government going to figure it out? Do they even realize how hard it is to get somebody into either type if treatment without insurance? Their best options are Turning Point and Neil Kennedy in this area and BOTH have an extremely long wait time to receive treatment. This is beyond ridiculous. They want gun control but they don't want to fix the real issues. Absurd.
"Let he who is without sin cast the first stone" there must be a whole lot of non-sinners here. What choices a person makes is between them and God. As a married Catholic I am far more affronted by the marriages that take place like Kim kardashians that mean absolutely nothing, than the relationship that is between Neil Patrick Harris and his partner. That's where the breakdown is, marriage is not being treated as a permanent commitment but as something fleeting. I would rather my children be gay and committed to their partner than straight and treat it as a joke.
@VINDYAK where are you voting at? All the polls I've ever been to require a photo ID, even when my neighbors are in charge!
I believe in the right to bear arms, but there needs to be stricter control. Especially for those that may be mentally ill. Maybe a mini mental exam wouldn't be the worst thing in the world, but they will probably lie anyways. Oh and as for cross checking with mental health diagnosis or hospitalization one thing HIPPA. No one will get those records without signed consent. At least Obama is trying something its much better than doing nothing.
Kurt people like you are the reason rapists have such light punishments. To a victim they may as well be dead, this is not something they EVER get over. Their lives as they know it are over. They relive it over and over again. Yes counseling helps them learn to function but nothing can help them heal completely. The rapists lives may be inconvenienced for awhile but don't you dare make it seem as if that makes it even.
This makes me so sad. Prayers for the families of the students and teachers. Not to mention the officers and first responders. I was in high school when columbine happened, in college for Virginia Tech and I am from Chardon. I am beyond thinking this could never happen to me. Oh and God help you who are so heartlessly making your sarcastic comments it is a slap in the face to that poor community.
Don't worry when the police leave them alone and let their community care for it's self they will demand justice and blame the police for being racist and not caring about the black community.
I also have a pool and a toddler. My pool has a lock on the gate and our daughter is taught not to go near the pool. However I know from being a child caregiver kids are sneaky! They do not grasp the what could happen to them, and trust me I have seen them do ingenious things to get what they want. This poor family all we can do is pray for them. Remember people ALWAYS lock the the gate to your pool so this stuff doesn't happen!
I understand and respect what the dad is saying. But if the organization feels she qualifies then why deny his daughter this chance. With everything she's been through let the little girl go meet Mickey Mouse!!!!!
