I don't listen to MSNBC. By the same token, I don't have my opinions handed to me by FAUX "news" *sic*, or Rush Limbaugh, or Mark Levin, or Neal Boortz, or Savage Nation either.
I don't agree with every step the President has taken while in office, and YES, some of those steps were questionable in my opinion. But, I also don't believe he's going to turn our sovereignty over to the U.N. or any other world organization. If you'll remember, there was a huge rush to get more guns when he was elected the first time because all the tinfoil-ers were crying "He'll take all yer guns!". No such thing happened then nor will it in the future.

@boatdrunk: The Patriot Act (NDDA) originated under Bush 2. It comprises the single greatest power grab (and the potential to totally strip American citizens of any and all rights) of any administration that has ever existed in this country. It was sold to Congress at a time when we were all still experiencing profound shell shock from 9/11 and most, if not all of it, should be repealed. Where was all this outrage and talk of seceding when Bush got that law passed?? Where was the dissention and talk of impeachment when Bush lied to all of us to get us into Iraq, spending billions of dollars every month that we didn't have revenue to cover??The Republican party is the "haters of liberty" if the Patriot Act is any indication. And, considering how many times I've seen those of you who are anti-Obama on this thread tell others using their right to free speech to shut up or have used personal slurs against them, I'd say YOU are freedom haters as well.

@boatdrunk: PLEASE tell me that means you're leaving the country. Take the 100s of thousands that signed petitions along with you, and don't let the door hit you in the tail on the way out.

@boatdrunk, txredneck, and Patriot2: In case you haven't read much of the Constitution, there's a clause in it that describes a concept called VOTING, by which changes can be made to government.@warvet: I AM one of the 47% that Romney called victims, though I am NOT drawing any check from the government for any reason and am working more than full-time to support MYSELF, while if you are profiting from any GI education benefits or disability check related to your service, you also fit into that 47% AS WELL AS being one of the moochers, as you're so plainly and simply calling them. What's really plain and simple is how ignorant you are of what constituted that 47%. He could aggregate every person drawing a welfare check, disability check, social security check (for which people contributed all their working lives), Medicare benefit (ditto there), AND the unemployed and still not reach that 47% he talked about. And... OH by the way, 12 years would include all of the terms of Dubya's administration. While we're at it, why don't you define marxism for us, without looking it up? ; )
