I'M GLAD TO SEE THERE ARE STILL SOME INTELLIGENT PEOPLE IN THIS AREA. I NEVER THOUGHT IT WAS ILLEGAL TO MAKE MONEY, HOWEVER IT IS ILLEGAL TO MANIPULATE TAXPAYER MONEY FOR CAMPAIGN AND/OR PERSONAL PROFIT.. DELPHISALERIEDEMPLOYEE HIT THE NAIL ON THE HEAD. OBAMA AND RYAN HAVEN'T DONE ANYTHING TO HELP THE RETIREES FOR THREE YEARS. IF OBAMA WOULD GET REELECTED THEY COULD GIVE UP THEIR FIGHT BECAUSE THERE IS NO INCENTIVE TO HELP THEM. IT'S ALSO TIME TO DUMP TIM RYAN.
Parking and traffic were a fiasco, not well thought out by the organizers. These problems have to be addressed for emergency purposes.Three ambulances could not get to the stadium because of the gridlock of traffic. When the drug dealers or gang rivals start shooting the stadium up; the police will need backup and ambulances will need immediate access.
I agree about the stadium issue. What gang is going to win control, or what dealer will have control of the drugs. Start a lottery as to when the first shooting will be at the new stadium. Watch the North Side get sucked into the world of violence because someone thought the stadium would be good for the kids. Did they forget why it was closed down to begin with.?
A big shout out of thanks to the media of the Youngstown area for their promotion and continued coverage of the Walmart donation of $1,000,000.00 being won by Youngstown. Without the media coverage this area would have lost out. Thank you.
Isn’t it ironic how politicians flock to the Youngstown area to take credit for the advancements the area has achieved. Both republicans and democrats want to share in the accomplishments of the local politicians. We should give credit where credit is due. Tim Ryan swooped in like a hawk to steal the credit that the local mayors and other politicians put in place for V & M Star to bring their plant addition to Youngstown. Due to the area starting to recover from the steel mill collapse with the boom of gas and oil wells; the governor visits the area. Prior to this he wouldn’t have anything to do with a democratic dominant, high unemployment area. Now we’re supposed to be all thankful and reinstall our President for G M being so successful at Lordstown. Giving the real credit where it should be, look back at the past contract negations at Lordstown. The employees gave concession after concession to keep the plant in this area. Since they were good employees and gave G M everything the company wanted, in return the employees were given the new model for production. This model turned out to be successful by public demand. What did Obama have to do with the success of the Cruze other than drive gas prices so high that it made this car appealing.
Not only is the medicare premium increasing, but the 2% income tax that takes affect in January will leave seniors with less than they have now. The new tax was imposed in the OBAMACARE BILL. The new tax is a 1% tax on all financial transactions. Affective Jan. all Social Security checks are direct deposit and will be taxed 1% going into your account and another 1% when you withdraw it to pay your bills. Congratulations on your pay raise. Do you think THE VINDICATOR would cover this taxation without representation?????
It's not the name of the airport that will bring success. Alegiant is very successful by offering lower fares. Their planes are full every flight with passengers from all around because they offer the best rates. If they want to improve the airport, put a canopy over the load/unload area.
You watch, even though the library got a tax levy passed, they'll be back for more with another levy. Right now there is one administrative employee for every three non-administrative positions.Imagine how our schools would be if we had one teacher for every three students. Oh yes, the article tells about the union giving concessions and freezing their wages. What it doesn't mention, is how administration all got their raises after the union gave up theirs to help the library. Some of you wondered where the $50,000.00 jobs are. They are the ones in administration that got the raises.
IT’S TIME FOR DeSousa TO APOLOGIZE!!!!...ana HEALTH CARE FOR TERRORISTS??? Although I’m a registered Democrat and helped vote Congressman Ryan into office, I won’t make that mistake again. With the elections just a little over 3 weeks away I was looking for an alternative to the incumbent Ryan. It’s not that I’m against health care for those misfortunate not to have insurance. I worked all my life to earn what I have; not to pay for insurance for the job stealing illegal aliens or the terrorists in the 37 terrorist camps in this country. The terrorists are here to kill us and destroy our country, but with the new health care bill we must provide them with insurance. Two words “American citizens” added to the bill would have made it easier to accept. I am Pro-life and Mr. Ryan is Pro-choice. I like many others that post here wanted an alternative but didn’t want to cross party lines. I watched for Vindicator coverage to try to find who was running against Mr. Ryan. I’ve read posts about the Democratic Mafia in Youngstown and Mr. Ryan is embedded so deep in that group that no media print or television will cover any candidate but Mr. Ryan. To my good fortune a candidate came to my door. It turns out he’s a neighbor running, on the Democratic ticket for 17TH Congressional Representative. This gentleman’s name is Bob Crow, we had a very lengthy talk and I ask him why I’d never heard of him through the media. He said he has had interviews with most of the newspapers but locally he can’t get any coverage. He went on to describe how Bertram DeSousa tried to belittle him in front of all at the meeting with the Vindicator, by saying that he didn’t know his facts about the V & M Star expansion. The Vindicator should apologize to Mr Crow for DeSousa’s actions. Mr. DeSousa was dead wrong claiming that the V & M Star expansion was put together by Ryan. I have personally called V & M Star executives that I know and they confirmed that Mr. Ryan was at the announcement of the expansion and the media portrayed him as putting the deal together, when in reality he was called in to amicably settle the differences between Mayor Williams and Mayor Melfi. I also think the Vindicator and DeSousa owe Mayors Williams and Melfi an apology for discrediting these two gentlemen after the time and effort they put forward to acquire the expansion project. I was very impressed with Candidate Crow when I inquired about his platform or views, education, work history, and I was very impressed by his manor and appearance. If anyone out there is like me not wanting to vote for the incumbent, doesn’t want to cross party lines; there is an alternative worth checking into. You’ll have to research it yourself because like I pointed out the media won’t cover anyone other than Ryan. Good or bad send me your comments.
