A very powerful story. Just to keep the record straight, the article was wrong in asserting that this this was "the first recorded terrorist attack on a domestic flight." It was the first bombing of a commercial jetliner. In the ten years leading up to this event, there were a handful of bombings of propeller airliners, some with death tolls in the 50's and 60's. Mr. Doty has to rank as one of the most evil people who ever lived.
Gay marriage has been put up to public referendum 38 times now. The actual voting public has been able to vote on it that many times. Gay marriage has lost all 38 times. I don't know where these polls get their results showing that 52% of the people support gay marriage. Every time it has appeared as a ballot issue, it has been trounced by sizeable majorities.
This is a really dumb move on Obama's part. Ignoring (for the moment) the religious aspects of the issue, it would appear that the President, fishing for votes, saw a recent Gallup poll that said 52% of Americans support gay marriage. So, he jumped on the bandwagon. What he doesn't realize is that the 52% who support gay marriage are almost exclusively located in states that he would have won anyway. California, New York, New England. All he has done is antagonize voters in the swing states like Ohio, North Carolina, Florida, etc. Dumb.
FLHTCUI asks: "Does anybody else want GM Lordstown shut down?" Yeah, I do. I never wanted it here in the first place. The UAW are like a spoiled kid. They insist that everything revolve about them all the time. With all their freebie medical benefits, all they've done is raise the cost of dentists and eye care for the rest of us. When Lordstown opened, they brought up a bunch of hilljacks from Virginia and North Carolina to staff the place. This was a nice area before they brought all the riffraf here.
Father Maturi says: “I see it has been revitalized. ..." I see parents bringing kids to school and residents walking the streets freely," More proof that the clergy and our city officials live in la-la land. They must be on drugs to build anything in a hopeless war zone like this.
After the leftist media finishes their lynching of Mr. Zimmerman, would they please, at long last, show the REAL pictures of Trayvon (not the 12th birthday photos) and the real pictures of a smiling Zimmerman in a suit. This sorry episode has destroyed any faith I have in the media's ability, or desire, to present unbiased facts.
I am not going to give up my right to own a gun because certain demographic groups cannot behave with them. Almost everyone I ever met who opposed gun ownership by citizens, when questioned, was legally unable to own a gun themselves. I used to work in a sporting goods store, and I can tell you from personal experience that 90% of people with Youngstown, Ohio addresses cannot pass a federal gun background check.
TIME TO REFLECT
