Check out the efficiency of government. They approved the arrangment on Jan. 23rd and she quit on the 30th. So she's actually been doing this since December sometime I assume? Or she only tried it for a week? Either way, that's rediculous.
@FitzKelly - Those statements are not true at all. In fact, just the opposite. The Washington Post published a study two days ago on the correlation of gun violence per 100 citizens and gun ownership per 100 citizens. There is absolutely no correlation whatsoever between gun ownership in gun violence. Some of the highest gun violence countries have the lowest gun ownership. The US is among the highest gun ownership countries, but is in the middle in terms of gun violence.
This is why our government is disfunctional. Any idea to combat crime should be pursued. If they deal with just 1 case, it's worth it. But instead, you have two people whining about turf and their feelings getting hurt. Grow up and act like leaders! You are our employees, and we want action not BS!
I know both of these individuals, and have a ton of respect for both, but there's no way that two ex-teachers paired with an ex-teacher superintendent (whom I also know and respect) can properly understand and represent the needs of the community. The community is saying that you can't have inordinately high teachers pay, health care plans that don't have a 20%-25% employee contribution, and a retention and raise system based on longevity rather than performance. It's not the way the rest of the world operates. You also can't torture the parents into voting for a levee by playing with services that have no real impact on the budget. The majority of the budget goes to salaries, so that's where the cuts have to happen. I have children in the school system and attended the school system, but until the employee pay and benefits issues are addressed, they will not get my vote. Cutting the number of teachers is not the answer as much as cutting salaries across the board is.
Who says that doing something "will be bad for your health" and is really just altruistically looking out for the person they are talking to? Give me a break. Everyone would take that as a threat, except Judge Douglas apparently. I'm sure if some attorney said that to him, he'd take it as a threat. It's just the typical union mentality of wanting something for nothing and bullying, twisting, and mistating facts to get it.

Canfield Flower Mill remains problem for neighbors
All but 1 of the houses around it that are eye sores are owned by the same guy the article is about.

Canfield residents voice concerns over Flower Mill property
Sounds like a lot of you live in dumpy neighborhoods and are jealous of those that don't. Maybe your apathy is why your neighborhood is a dump?
