My thoughts and prayers for all of his family. Hopefully the father finds a way to forgive himself and can carry on for his family, it will be hard, hardest thing to ever deal with. So sorry for you all..
Most definitely get those rules changed, so hard to believe a worker faces trouble and not the facility. She was wrong marking she was in bed, they were wrong for not heeding her pleas for another worker. These things can be prevented, that's what makes it so hard.
No information is sad, that person could have hit a child just as easy as hitting a crossing guard. It is not a matter of informing people what the problem is peoples total disregard for laws and other people. They believe they are the only one that matters so the other person is at fault. Never mind that these people are doing their job and also trying to keep all the children safe. Just as everyday my husband goes to work and tries to his job and people see him needing to park by the tanks to deliver gas and puts his cones out and people drive right in his way, yell and threaten him for doing his job, people are rude and inconsiderate of other people anymore. My dad taught me to treat others the way that I want treated, not thinking those hitting crossing guards or children, or abusing animals is how someone would wanted treated in return so maybe more should follow my dad's advice and think about how they would like something before acting. Smile and be kind it is contagious, you will see..
These cases are often anymore, these animals need a voice which would be laws. Community service for them and stiff fines since over crowding in jails. Make them have to pick up trash with I abuse animals on their backs. I could not hurt my dogs, which I adore even take an allergy pill daily so I can have them. What joy can one get from hurting kittens with a car or starving your animal to death? I would like to see eye for eye but that doesn't happen for murders or child killers so won't in these cases. When I look in my dogs eyes it shows love and no conditions for it. If you can't afford them find them a home, if you hate them take them, to a shelter or pound someone will adopt them or rescue them, at the least they had a fighting chance. Where is compassion for others these days? I see it in the news, but not in stories like this or in crime reports.
This is senseless, and my prayers go out to both families. It is a damn shame when children can't play outside in the afternoon without being hit by a vehicle, or shot..this country is stuck on giving rights to the wrong people. Where were their rights to play and be safe? This disgusting dirtbag got in his truck knowing full well he wasn't capable of driving safe and in broad daylight kills an innocent child and alters the life of the other boy's life. The courts are going to go easy on him like usual, when will the criminals lose their rights and the victims and their families get their civil rights? Will people be considerate of others on the road and stop being about themselves, passing people dangerously, speeding and acting recklessly. Peoples lives are more important than hurting or killing someone. Drinking and driving responsibly, although it is usually the repeat offenders who run innocent people down..please think about the right thing before more lives get hurt. I am sorry for your loss. God bless.
