Trumbull commissioners back court consolidation

I too was at the hearing Tuesday night and YoderDame has reported it accuratly. I was also at the Commissioners meeting on Wednesday. I want to add further data. The Tribune reports the Commissioners vote was UNANIMOUS, that includes Fuda. Commisioner Heltzel, who has spectaular credentils in Law and Finance, said that the COST SAVINGS was what convinced the Commissioners to support the consolidation. Fuda says Judge Campbell hasn't proved what the savings will be. That statement doesn't square with Fuda's participation in a UNANIMOUS vote. The vote says they were all convinced the Judge was on target with his savings estimate, which is conservative. Fuda says the Commissiners would have to sell two buildings and purchase another. The Eastern Brookfield Court is in a leased building and the Central Cortland Court was purchased. The Court should stay in the purchased Cortland location until all the needs are figured out and drop the $59,000 Brookfield lease. Meanwhile the taxpayers would be saving money. Saving $200,000/yr is significant. I encourage you to let your representatives know they should be aggressive and pass this legislation in the intrest f the taxpayers.

We Are Ohio to fight right-to-work issue

I will work hard for OHIOANS FOR WORKPLACE FREEEDOM to move us toward a Right-to-work-state. I maintain that no worker should have to pay to get or keep a job.

This whole scenerio would change if the companies worked toward eliminating the dues collections for the Unions. The proof of the Union sentement would manifest itself through the willingness of the workers to send in that check every month BEFORE they buy groceies.

WE ARE OHIO is fighting for the dues which the Union spends with little or no input from the workers as to what candidates or issues are supported with the workers money.

The Union workers need to start questioning what their Union is doing with their money! You get an instand raise by not paying Union dues.

Kasich: Voters sent SB 5 message

You can whine and cry all you want. Unless something changes we get more of the same. Are Unions the answer?

What did they do to save all the jobs that left here. On the one hand they want people to pay $100/mo to give them power to save jobs. ...Look around you to see what you got for your dues. It wasn't groceries in your cart or gas in your tank.

Someday the UC bennies will run out. Kasich can't be blamed for that. Kasich had a way for cities to save money, it got shot down.

So now for all the people in here who think with their mouth, it's your turn. Tell Kasich what your soulution is. BS don't count.!

SB 5 is an attack on labor rights

Lawmakers are NON UNION. They are not covered by SB5. You are listening to the spin doctors, We are Ohio and Innovations Ohio. Their mission is to confuse people with misinformation. You bit!

The TAXPAYERS, like you, need to demand these UNION employes step up and pay some of their benefits and pensions like the Private sector does. That money can be saved and used to maintain employment levels for Police and Fire.

Wake up Youngstown we the TAXPAYERS are getting no representation at the bargaining table. VOTE YES on Issue 2 and return the control to the TAXPAYERS, not the UNIONS.

For all Union members, what exactly do you get for your Union dues? Wouldn't it be nice to have some or all of that money returned to your paycheck?

Just sayin'

Health-care referendum opponents call Issue 3 'disaster'

INNOVATIONS OHIO, is also ANTI SB5. Because of what they oppose, they could also be called ANTI-TAXPAYER PROTECTION.

We TAXPAYERS need to get very educated on the issues for the ballot in November. We are about to take one in the shorts if we don't pay attention.

The only place the government gets it's money is from the TAXPAYER. We TAXPAYERS do have a say and shame on us if we let these politicians tell us what we need and take our money to pay for it.

Remember, these politicians work for us. TAXPAYERS need to let them know our money is ours until we give it to the government.

INNOVATIONS OHIO supports fleecing of the TAXPAYER.

Clergy: God is on the side of union workers

When Reverand Ahrens stepped from behind the pulpit into the political arena he is fair game for criticism. In my church the Minister is a uniter, not a divider.

This man is speaking for God when he says...God is on the side of Union members. What gives him that right to judge in God's name.

Certainly, there are Non-Union members in his Congregation. It seems the Minister has turned against his Non-Union parishioners. My guess is his collection plate will be alot lighter next Sunday. Ahrens can't have it both ways.

Issue 2 is really a taxpayer rescue plan. Taxpayers are tapped out. Govorner Kasich is working to get government in line with what taxpayers can afford.

This Minister, instead of picking winners and losers, like the Obama Adinistration, should be the uniter. If he wants to get involved, his role could be to promote education for his parishioners. Make sure they have educational material for both sides of the issue. That is good for the community.

Creating larger more expensive government is not what is best for the community. Taxpayers need to protect their wallets. Taxpayers have very few occasions to control where their tax money goes. Voting YES for Issue 2 will save the taxpayers money.

YSU faculty calls off planned strike

A component of good Management styles is listening. The effort to stop SB5 is a pretty good indication there are issues that need to be discussed.

Kasich offered open discussion. The Union dissed him. A very unproffesional response to a proffessinal offering for discussion.

Now that the National Federation for Small Business has added it's support to SB5 the money and rescources will move into full swing.

If the Union gets cocky, business should immediatly pass a motion for all the small business members to discontinue the practice of collecting Union dues from employees paychecks. That is a hammer business has that the Union's can not take away.

My guess is Union membership dues would go way down. Members would quickly see there is no benefit to paying Union dues.

YSU faculty calls off planned strike

Taxpayers must evaluate all the opinions being registered about SB5. We taxpayers need to protect ourselves from relatives, neighbors and friends trying to get into our money. Taxpayers who are not members of Public Unions are paying for the wages and benefits of those who are in Public Unions.

Our relatives, neighbors and friends, in the Unions, are telling us that we have to pay for their wages and benefits at the level their Unionshave negotiated. The next step is the Unions get a Levy on the ballot to pay for the increases in the wages and benefits.

If you vote for the levy you are saying you are willing to sacrifice your money to pay for your neighbors increased wages and benefits, possibly out of your unemployment check. Your neighbor lives better than you, on your dime.

TAXPAYERS CAN'T HAVE IT BOTH WAYS! You can't satisfy your Union neighbor and complain about the taxes. It can't happen. It is time to make a decisionabout your money.

Taxpayers rarely have a direct say about where their money goes. This time we have some control over our money.

TAXPAYERS - Vote NO for SB5 and vote NO for the next levy asking for your money.

UNION MEMBERS - vote to keep your Union dues money in your pocket. put your money in your 401K.

SB 5 will help Ohio cut spending

Here is a question for you. If Union dues were not automatically taken from workers pay checks, how many workers would send Union dues to the Union every month?

That $90-100 a month would start feeling pretty good in the paycheck. Then, very quickly, that money would be spent on other things. Just sayin.....
