It's common sense that political competition is good for a community. Cities that are divided politically, and regularly switch back and forth between Republican and Democrat leadership fare much better! Political power will result in corruption regardless of the party. In Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley, Democrats know that they will get re-elected no matter what so they have no incentive to work hard to solve our problems. Think about it!
Thanks for the correction! The bill signed by Governor Kasich on Wednesday, H.B. 78, prohibits late-term abortions, those that occur after an unborn child is viable (able to live on her own outside of her mother's womb).
Shame on our local elected officials, Schiavoni, Cafaro, Hagan and Gerberry for all voting to continue to permit the killing of children even after they are medically able to survive on their own!
Schiavoni, Cafaro, Hagan & Gerberry: Denying medical facts, and voting to allow the killing of full term babies - that's an extreme pro-abortion view!
Betras and Ryan are both embarassments to the Valley. It is great to have a person with decency and fiscal common sense as speaker of the house. Boehner makes me proud to be an Ohioan.
Did Hagan really get 81% of the vote? Or did Betras and his cronies hack into the machines and change the vote totals? There should be a recount because none of my friends voted for this bum!
Youngstown leads nation with poverty rate of 49.7%

Abortion ‘heartbeat bill’ gives Ohio an onerous distinction
Shame on Joe Schiavoni, Capri Cafaro, Bob Hagan and Ron Gerberry for their consistent radical pro-abortion voting records!
Our valley will not recover from its many hardships until our leaders respect the lives of the most innocent and vunerable members of society.
