Oh please AtownPARENT - Like working or voting has anything to do with abortion. You just dont like to see the ugly truth of what an abortion really is.

ytowngramma you are the one who needs educated on the subject. Abortions are performed by D&C- which is dialation and curretage- curretage being a sharp blade used to scrape and cut the baby from the womb. Or the other option which is just as ugly- they suction the baby into peices via vacuum aspiration. Animals get put to sleep. Aborted babies dont even get that.

Mass of cells? NOT- that "mass of cells" sucks its thumb at 8 weeks gestation and will react to being touched.
By this age the neuro-anatomic structures are present. What is needed is (1) a sensory nerve to feel the pain and send a message to (2) the thalamus, a part of the base of the brain, and (3) motor nerves that send a message to that area. These are present at 8 weeks. The pain impulse goes to the thalamus. It sends a signal down the motor nerves to pull away from the hurt. A more technical description would add that changes in heart rate and fetal movement also suggest that intrauterine manipulations are painful to the fetus.
If pointing out that abortion tortures a baby before it is KILLED is being a drama queen, I will wear that title with PRIDE LOL

"I sure hope that none of these pro-lifers are ever raped and become pregnant. Would they carry that child for 9 months just to give it up for adoption?" end quote.

Yes I would. Why? Because it isnt the child's fault. Given the choice between carrying a baby for 9 months and giving it life or having it literally torn apart while ALIVE with a knife- I would give birth. That is an easy answer. I am not killing an innocent child by a cruel painful death for any reason.

AtownParent- I have a 1%. She is a beautiful intelligent little girl and I wouldnt trade her for anything. I had sex, I took responsibility for my actions. I am sorry my plain outright view offends you, but it's true. If you arent prepared to have a child, use birth control or don't have sex.

*I am the woman, This is MY BODY, This is MY CHOICE* - quote.

Yes, you are the woman and it is your body and choice. So choose to keep your legs closed unless you have proper birth control in place or are ready to raise another human being. Abortion is not a form of birth control, it is killing a human being of your OWN flesh that didnt ask to be there.

If she can afford a fertility clinic she can certainly afford to raise a child on her own. A single parent can adopt a child- they shouldnt be denied infertility treatment either.

Come back to reality LOL LOL!!! Im sorry the point of the conversation went over your head. If we had more responsible parents like mine, we would have alot less alcoholics and teens dying in alcohol related crashed. You see how well the "laws" work. *eyeroll*

Strangelove- when you raise kids to respect alcohol- you will have kids who are not alcoholics or party animals. Complete prohibition doesnt do anything except make alcohol more exciting. I dont want my kids out sneaking it and driving around with their friends. I want them in my house under adult supervision.

strangelove- you are STILL missing the point. The point of my comment was that neither kids nor alcohol is really the problem- lack of parenting is the problem. Laws like these get passed because the parents do not parent their kids anymore. 35 kids at one house? Where were ALL their parents???
