Everyone seems to be bad-mouthing Heuer, but I don't think he even gets to vote on these things.. so why does he get blamed for them.. just like the Davis closing, I heard the board members vote to close the school, but no one ever spoke against them for that decision. As far as the quantity and quality of students that come in, open enrollment is not a free pass for anyone to come in wherever they want.. I do believe that first, the school must have room for them, and second, the school system must approve the students, based on criteria established by the district, to keep out the "hoods" so many of you are concerned about. A-town schools are still a great place to learn, and will continue to do so.
Grump.. Do you even live in A-town? I see you make comments condemning decisions made by all cities, makes people wonder if you may just be a drifter with a library card that goes from city to city, and complains about what he can't control.. just a thought
Austintown opens to nondistrict pupils
