Kasich: Issue 2 helped with budget passage

Issue 2 is bad for Ohio, bad for families, bad for the public safety! It is an attack on all Ohioans and will directly snowball against all people of Ohio. Issue 2 attacks workers and seeks to take benefits, pay and bargaining rights away from massive numbers of people. If it passes it will drive the good police, firefighters, nurses and teachers out of Ohio and Issue 2 if passed will make care in hospitals worse. There will be slower response times for fires and police and the quality of education in Ohio will suffer. Vote NO on Issue 2!!!

Anti-SB 5 tour stops in Valley

Kasich is nothing but a delusional, greedy, Wall St. cheat. This state needs someone who cares about people and doesn't want to scrap every good program and agency that benefits people. Kasich is the worst thing that ever happened to Ohio and no patriotic American should put up with this bill, or his schemes that he passes off as a "solution". He is one of the ones that gave Wall St. breaks and helped so Wall St. and corporations could have free reign to lie, cheat, exploit, pollute and steal at the expense of our country. Now he wants to turn Ohio into a possible "sweat shop" place where workers can be over worked, over charged, under paid, and subjected to toxic and unsafe working conditions because power is taken away from them and handed over to greedy people where number one priority is greed! I have seen him way too many times over the years spouting anger and saying ridiculous and insensitive things. He doesn't care about people and his "solutions" will ruin this state. It is time for people by the hundreds of thousands across this country who care about people and want real solutions to protest and stop Kasich, Walker and others who have only self serving idea. They mislead into thinking they are going to make things better. People who supported these delusional politicians in some cases have to learn the hard way that they wasted votes, but the majority of this country isn't going to tolerate this. The people of this country are losing power. Even our votes are being belittled. Last year the Republican faction of the Supreme Court gave corporations the power to donate unlimited amounts of money to candidates. It throws the election to one person who can dwarf everyone else with propaganda and smear no matter how dishonest. It takes power away from ordinary people who want to donate and have their votes count and then that politician is bought and paid for to feel obligated. Kasich and Walker serve the rich 3% while 97% "middle class" pay! STOP THEM! All people should oppose SB 5 vote NO on Issue 2!

Mahoning Valley schools mostly maintain 2009-10 ratings

REALITY CHECK!!!
This isn't the 60s or 70's anymore. Kids nowadays many times take guns and knives to school. They are a threat to teachers and it is not unusual to see in the news about kids killing and threatening classmates, teachers, principals, even their own parents! People think teachers don't deserve what they have gone to college and worked hard to earn?

Try being a teacher and you have to babysit 20-30 kids for eight hours a day, 5 days straight and on top of it you have to teach them, prepare lesson plans, keep grade books, have conferences, make bulletin boards, organize the room, grade papers, meet with parents, write notes to parents, prepare tests, run off copies of teaching tools, deal with kids that are trouble and deal with parents who are in some cases as immature and delinquent as their kids, and far more!!!!! These teachers work before school, after kids go home, and at nights and on weekends on school related stuff. I know! I am married to a teacher. The pressure is unbelievable what they go through. They don't have enough time in the day. They work 60 hour weeks if you include what they do at home for school. They use their own money to buy kids supplies without reimbursement. Many parents won't buy their own kids supplies. Teachers pay huge amounts out of their pay check for health care. Teachers are invested with one of the most important jobs in our country and they are over worked, under paid, under appreciated and vilified by ignorant people who obviously need an education of their own. These people have gone to college and are "professionals". You know what the lowest paying professional job is for college grads? Teachers rank second behind social workers. They deserve respect and support not foolish attacks. If not for teachers there would be more ignorance and it is education that creates success for people and our country. Education and teachers should be supported! The alternative is ignorance.
Teachers deserve far more pay, credit, and benefits than they have.

1.3 million seek vote on SB 5

SB5 is going to be voted down by all good voters who care about Ohio, America and the rights and benefits of those who work hard. Gov. Kasich will be the next to go hopefully. SB 5 is a bill that takes away the rights and voices of people in Ohio who work hard every day to serve others including YOU. These teachers, police, firemen and nurses all serve you and your children when you are in need and form the backbone of this country. If you don't pay them right you will all experience the result. You will get what you pay for as the best to offer will leave the state and go elsewhere. SB 5 isn't about saving money. It is about power grabbing by Kasich, his corporate friends, promoting greed, and hurting freedom so they can exploit the workers in Ohio more. Without union voices workers are likely to be over worked, under paid, exploited and forced to work in unsafe and toxic work environments. If Kasich was so concerned about saving money he would start with his own over sized pay check and also would not be paying record salaries to his own staff. He would also be going after the corporations who he serves and make them pay their fair share. Instead they get tax breaks while those who are hurting get attacked. Cutting social programs that help people and attacking unions is making this country worse off. We don't need a sweat shop country like China is, but Kasich is trying hard to make it such. Privatizing agencies which are non profit and will operate to serve people without regard to money will only introduce a "profit incentive" which will be more important than the people. We don't need to privatize programs that help people and end up having the main concern become greed and profit at the expense of helping and doing good for all. This is how insurance companies run our health care. SB 5 needs to be stopped and there are petitions circulating all over Ohio right now. Please find a place to sign one in your area and make the move to make Ohio a place where people count again! Sign the petition to recall SB 5. This bill if not stopped will hurt all Ohioans.

GM Lordstown to produce diesel version of Cruze, sources say

That is good, but not clean enough. I was driving behind a car that was diesel the other day and it stinks. That is an issue. Would people really like everyone to be driving diesel? It is way too smelly and just not a solution. Certainly GM can do better than that. They are still stuck in the past and need to move ahead to something cleaner, greener and more efficient. Diesel is not a solution and it isn't a new idea. Just an old idea that didn't work and wasn't good in the past and still isn't good enough.

Computer causes West Side fire

In cases where computers catch fire it is usually from some kind of flaw. The person who owned it should look into the model number and see if the company that made it has any recalls on it for overheating. There has been times in the past ten years where power adapter on certain laptop computers over heated and could catch fire. Maybe there were some cases where that particular computer model was recalled, or connected with problems. That is sad that they had that much damage. Hope they find out the problem and get compensated.
