Everyone on this page needs to lay off Kelly. He is a local hero, and people should be lining up to be his driver. Yeah, he drinks. So what? Even if he hit and killed a family on his way home from a southside bar, guess what...that family is garbage compared to the career he had.
Was that family ever on ESPN? Nope. Neither was anyone who gets their jollies on the vindy.com message boards. Kelly Pavlik is a GOD compared to you pukes.
The turnpike hater should feel ashamed for reporting him. He/Her is lucky the Ghost was in their presence. People talking s&*t about Pavlik should realize that Youngstown is on the map because of him.
He probably drives drunk better than you haters drive sober. No one died, so get over it! He is and always will be a local hero, whether you haters like it or not.

Unfortunately, Sister Jerome is from a different era. She preaches the "5 A's", but doesn't realize the true issues.
The first "A" should recognize African Americans. We've been beaten down by whites for more than four thousand years. Before the sisters offer us education, they should cut us a check for the unpaid work we gave our slave masters.
Another "A" should be for the Acquittals the court system owes us. 98% of black crime is because of racism and corrupt judges.
The next "A" is for Addiction. It's a fact that whites have injected drugs into the inner cities. Crack is whack, and the only reason we do drugs is because plantation owners like McNally give us drugs instead of jobs.
"A"ccusations...DeMaine was a threat to the white establishment. So the party brought in a Lewinsky to discredit him. God forbid a black man say something sexual to a white woman.
Our last true "A" is for Acceptance. As McNally settles into his role as our new mayor, we should all lay back and accept it, right? The Vindicator will delete this post because it questions the status qou. In the meantime, we should question the white devil nuns who give us canned foods instead of careers.

kk*K*80586...must be nice to own two cars. Lemmee guess, your wife was picking up new sheets for tonight's big rally? Is it even possible for you to make a statement without the racism oozing out? I'm sure you can afford to buy DVD's and music every week, but for those of us struggling, we can only afford these "luxuries" once a month.
theguins...ironic that you complain about drugs, but your racist tea party promotes individual liberty and personal freedom (i.e. illegal drugs). Why do white people get to buy a house, but I can't get a loan because I'm unemployed and have a record? Racist drug laws, that's why.
eivo..."these folks"!!?? Jim Crow called. He wants his laws back. There's an election coming up next week, and I pray to Obama that people see through the Rogaine and vote for the "People's Candidate": DeMaine Kitchen. He represents this city. He may have bad taste in white women, but can you blame him? There's little talent in this city.

For all you racist tea partiers in your ivory towers, do you even know what it feels like to be poor!? I doubt it. Being on government assistance is not easy! While you all sit around the water cooler talking about your favorite shows on HBO, I'm left out because I can only afford basic cable.
Do you think my Obama Phone can play Candy Crush? Nope, only calls and texts.
Plus, my shoulder gets sore when I carry heavy things around for a few hours or more, and it makes me really tired by the end of the day. Try being disabled like me and then cry me a river about your taxes.
Sure, there may be jobs out there, but most are degrading or boring. Plus, my managers were always mean. I deserve at least $100,000 a year, and until you're ready to give it to me, please stop complaining!

The cabbie judged these two men simply because they were born that way. Just as society judges adult men for their attraction to underage girls. Sexual attraction should be embraced, and even celebrated! If you have an urge, it is natural, not a product of culture.
If an 11 year old boy can decide he wants to be a girl (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bJw3s8...) then he is the embodiment of children embracing their sexuality. He/She is the future! Maybe one day society will accept an 11 year old's human right to have sex with an adult.
Statutory rape laws are medieval and offensive to children. If she's old enough to be tried as an adult, she's old enough to be satisfied as an adult. Society used to limit the sexual rights of blacks too.
High schools across America already have LGBT clubs. They promote sexual attraction between two 15-year old boys. How much longer do we have to wait before society accepts that same lust between adults and those sweet, succulent boys?
Sorry Tea Party racists...these emotions don't hurt anyone, so ACCEPT IT!!! Jazz is 11 and she's attracted to boys. Old white men need to keep their laws off her body! (unless that's her thing, then stop discriminating!)

After watching the last few weeks of political drama, added to tonight's fireworks at Bethel Church...everyone seems frustrated by our mayoral choices.
Everyone seems corrupt, or dishonest, or someone not like me. DeMaine is inexperienced, and Dave is just too white. There's a big movement to write in Phil Kidd.
White or black, Phil Kidd is the answer.
We've been cut out for too long. It's time to get our Phil.

I just received a text. Apparently the downtown special events planner, Ms. Hughes, let her boyfriend organize the Beerfest at Covelli this past weekend.
Why are city officials signing contracts with downtown business owners who refuse to pay taxes?
October 8, 2013 at 2:37 a.m.
The debate tonight was boring. The candidates held the party line. The Vindicator and all the other news outlets ignore the real stories.
D. Kitchen has tax issues. Who doesn't?
Kenneth L. Simon, baptist preacher, and moderator of tonight's event, apparently doesn't pay his property taxes either.
http://www.mahoningcountyoh.gov/ is a great public resource for checking out public officials. Kenneth L. Simon refuses to pay property taxes too. He's a slumlord over on Belmont. Look him up (parcel ID 530130018000)
Vindy.com says Lindsey Hughes is dating Dominic Gatta. He's the guy who had the lucrative Jazzfest contract for his "Gatta Productions", which got Lindsey in trouble for misuse of city funds. No big deal, right?
Maybe if that was the only deal Lindsey made between "gatta productions" and the city. Unfortunately, Their relationship has led to a long string of illegal city contracts. The Vindy has published all this, but no one has put the pieces together.
The Vindicator fails to notice that the crown jewel of the Dominic Corporation, the Federal Building downtown, is tax delinquent. Why does Youngstown's downtown special events planner make contracts with guys who owe $10,000 to the city?

I don't know how many times I've almost gotten into an accident at that intersection. On multiple occasions I've seen a large dog/puppy standing there waving at cars. I feel obligated to wave back, and it's quite distracting!
More than once the creature has just been standing there, dancing to silent music. It's incredibly mesmerizing...and dangerous.

Didn't need tweaked? The SR-71 underwent years of testing before the public even knew it existed. It wasn't reverse engineered alien technology. It was a team of aviation engineers toiling away at Lockheed. Check out Ben Rich's book "Skunk Works" for a firsthand account of the R&D process involved in developing stealth technology.
