Higher fuel costs force city to curtail summer paving

Better early than late! I know it's Nov 6, but the fact is, people don't show support for their candidate until after the fact. Get out there and do your part and get informed.

I don't get it...

you guys blame republicans but LOOK WHO IS IN OFFICE!

Don't blame the other guy for the problems going on in this area, state, region, country, etc...

The issues we face today are because of the current leaders, not the ones 4 years ago nor the ones 4 years from now.

I agree, the current republicans on the ballot coming up are terrible, they are by far some of the worst candidates I've ever seen, but the democratic candidate isn't much better and some could argue, is much worse!

The bottom line is we need some real home grown change. The issues we have can be solved a dozen different ways, using ideals from liberals, conservatives, democrats, republicans, etc...

Stop putting a label on everything... Come September, vote for the person who is the best candidate not because of their status or affiliation, but for their values and beliefs and how they plan to change our country for the better.

They need to just excavate the current roads and start pouring concrete. It is an improvement that is more costly, but highways and other roads which are made with concrete tend to last over 30 years and don't have much upkeep for the first 15.

Some of you act like this is a game? What if it happened to you or your family? Then what would your reaction be?

New bus plan to send Austintown kids on WRTA

"Unsavory area" !? LOL

That part of the West Side is still in very good condition. Neighbors are friendly and active in the community. If you think one mile down the road from the school your child attends is "unsavory", then send them to Austintown schools...

Do you think the United States should intervene militarily in Syria?

I'm in no way questions who put us into these multi-country wars. I'm just saying, BO (Barry Soetoro) has the choice to withdraw troops from foreign operations today and he chooses not to. In fact, we are operating in more countries today than ever before. Look at this this way: If we invade Syria, Israel will undoubtedly be forced to join the campaign. And if you don't know already, once these two sleeping giants go to war, larger countries such as Germany, Russia, China, etc will be forced to choose a side and enter the fray.

To add to my point, Ron Paul vowed to withdraw troops from 90% of the countries we are in. Do we really need a military base in Australia? These are the choices the top brass in our gov't have failed to make year after year.

Police arrest under investigation

Do you think having a badge makes you above the law? The arresting officers should be charged with aggravated assault and excessive force. The guy who was arrested should have his hospital bills paid for by the city but no other compensation.

Watch as your fearless war monger leader sends another battalion into Syria and calls it a humanitarian mission. Pull out of one country and go right into another... SMH

City fires endanger firefighters

I'm glad to hear the responding personnel were safe.

What has this area come to? Vigilantes burning down vacant homes is now the only way to get rid of blighted building and homes?

The local and stage gov't need to intervene and start bulldozing these vacant and crime infested homes/buildings.

Covelli Centre taxes and penalties set to be forgiven

You could "find" that money either under your mattress or your back pocket, with all the other politicians in the state.
