Wilson's people know exactly where Congressman Johnson is, that is why they keep following him around.
Act of a desperate man to pay a tracker? Absolutely.
I know the political makeup of that district well. That poll might have been true for the old 6th, but looking at the areas the 6th picked up and dropped, I don't believe that poll for a second.
I'm don't see how every registered voter receiving an absentee ballot application in the mail PLUS 35 days of in person absentee voting (with extended voting hours mind you) and 13 hours to vote on Election Day itself is disenfranchising anyone.
Joe, I think you are a decent guy and do a decent job representing the Mahoning Valley in Columbus, but even you must see the error in the logic you are using here.
If we are disenfranchising voters now by not having the polls open the three days preceding the Election, we must have disenfranchised everyone the last fifty years as well. This is ridiculous logic.
Forgive me, I didn't know that since it is a Federal election the Federal government has exclusive authority over voting. That is sarcasm in case you didn't catch it.
I rarely say this, but help yourself to a copy of the Constitution and learn what powers the Federal government has and does not have. Take the hint, the Federal government has no jurisdiction or authority on voting. That power is reserved to the states, including times and days of voting.
Federal requirements for military voting are itself an overreach of the Federal government, so claiming violation of equal protection for an illegal law already in place is about as silly as most of the above posts.
And sorry you have to be inconvenienced to vote on a day that isn't the weekend, 35 days to vote in person or in the mail must not be enough time for you. I'm sorry you are so busy that the allotted time is not enough.
With all due respect, Judge Economus and the Federal government should keep their noses the hell out of Ohio election law as well as making political legal rulings.
The Federal government does not have any jurisdiction here but Judge Economus thinks it is within his right to make it within the Fed's jurisdiction by playing politics.
"This court finds that ‘in-person early voting’ is a voting term that had included the right to vote in person through the Monday before Election Day, and, now, thousands of voters who would have voted during those three days will not be able to exercise their right to cast a vote in person."
There is no such thing as early voting fist of all, it is in person absentee voting. Second, the fact that thousands of people did vote on the weekend is not reason enough to find this to be unconstitutional.
If this is the case, every election preceding the change in laws by Brunner's office must have been unconstitutional too using the logic they are using here in this court.
Well David, the man is a coward, just like everything about the ticket he is on. Obama and Biden won't put themselves in any situation that would require them to answer difficult questions.
A pretty sad state of affairs when Glamour Magazine can get an interview but a political writer for a newspaper can't--especially in a city where he desperately needs every vote he can get.
These men are too cowardly to answer a few questions about their own candidacy to any major news outlet let alone the Vindicator.
If you don't like Romney fine, but Youngstown deserves to be represented by more than the pair of pansies on the Obama/Biden ticket.
Too bad so sad, if it were up to me we would have single day voting and absentee voting with cause.
Unfortunately, going back to that would bring a whole host of lawsuits from people citing voter suppression.
Again, try being responsible for awhile and learn when election day is. Your being inconvenienced by having to cast a ballot at a time that isn't right this second is not a problem for everyone else.
Grow the hell up and be responsible for knowing when to vote. We are all individual thinkers after all, the government doesn't have to hold your hand when you go into the voting booth.
Economic stands put Obama ahead
So what you are actually saying is Romney and Obama are even.
6 percent oversampling of Democrats? That explains your 6 point lead.

Group protests local fracking in Youngstown
Anyone else think a 30 person protest doesn't really warrant front page coverage?

Inappropriate billboard trivializes 17th District congressional race
The fact you people are even talking about this sign is a victory for Agana. That is pretty much why she doesn't have to fire her political advisor.
She got your attention. Mission accomplished.
And don't get me started on the laundry list of tacky Democrat advertisements I have seen over the years.
