WOW~ At what point does a driver for Austintown really make $45,000.00??? I have friends that work there and they are far from making that amount. Do you realize the training and backround checks they go through? They drive 60 plus kids each school route and the behavior of some of them. Their jobs are very unrewarding, and yet, they are there everyday regardless. These are some of the best people I know and I feel its a shame what they are doing to the drivers and students. I would LOVE to hear that Board members or upper management (Colaluca) ride these buses from time to time to really witness what their drivers do. Someone mentioned about the smaller buses taking these kids to private schools, whats wrong with using a sprinter van that Austintown owns 2 of that sit mostly all the time. There is an option. South Range uses one eveyday to transport small numbers of students to Austintown. Hmmmmm, intersting. This Board and Administration needs replaced in my mind. This school system has gone down hill every year. Austintown is all about not saving the hard working depedable employees that they have, but instead, get rid of them and "create" new positioins for the ones they want! Your making your bed, you will have to lay in it. Vote No, Austintown Local Schools. You must be accountable!
