Trumbull prosecutor seeks more prison time for killer

Killers today are viewed with less disdain than in previous years gone by. Their victim never complains and the general public wasn't affected by the crime. Is there any harm in setting the offender free? Setting them free only diminishes the seriousness of killing someone. Incarceration is punishment and their sentence by any amount of time, compared to the victim who is dead for eternity, is very lenient. Those incarcerated for murder still have their life. An execution would have made their sentence eternal without having life. Serving life in prison is a much better deal than their victim received.

UPDATED | 2 Steubenville football players sentenced for rape

I personally would like to see the person who provided the alcohol for these minors to pay a substantial fine and or do some jail time. Without the booze this crime would not have happened.

You can be taken captive and beheaded with no outcry. Urinating on a dead Taliban will bring an outcry and charges. The lesson to be learned here is that we should be taking captives and beheading them.
