Mahoning and Trumbull county health officials to partner
A citywide baby shower, the first of a nationwide series of baby showers sponsored by United Healthcare, will help kick off 2015 Youngstown Minority Health Month events here Saturday.
Mikael Jennings, 6, and Alyssa Brown, 5, both of Youngstown, were part of a group of Youngstown Community School students who performed Monday at a United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley news conference announcing its new early childhood initiative, Success After 6. Their school is the site for the pilot program.
Program aimed at working adults
The goal is to help people in recovery develop skills to be self-sufficient
Volunteers use the scripted, interactive, multimedia tool with little training
Joined by parents whose children benefitted from the health care program
