Salt is on its way, says ODOT

A Mahoning County Engineer’s office truck loads up with salt before the storm that blanketed the Mahoning Valley with 4-6 inches of snow Tuesday night into Wednesday. The long, snowy winter has left many communities across the state with little salt left to melt the flakes and ice on area roadways.

Donofrio's body found a year ago

West Virginia obtained a positive identification of James Donofrio's body Tuesday, after it was retrieved from the Ohio River about two hours south of Youngstown. His family reported the bar and restaurant owner missing Sept. 26, 2011, and believes someone killed him.

Traffic backed up on I-680 northbound near Market Street in Youngsotwn Wednesday afternoon. The Ohio State Highway Patrol reported 22 weather-related accidents fro 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Mahoning and Trumbull counties.
