We should send troops and humanitarian aid. We should not have military ops against the Russians.

By cambridge (Anonymous) on 08/15/08

Of course we should send troops. They have oil.

It's great to see how fast the humanitarian aid got there. I wounder what people from New Orleans think of that.

I think the money should be sent Youngstown to clean up Hillman St. and pave Market.

Can'tbridge you are a genius. How are things on mars, or whatever damn planet you live on?
Your post reads like a whoopi goldberg monologue, except you make her look smart.
Go lie in a hole.

Yea, spare me on the New Orleans crap please. That was a chocolate hurricane. When there are white hurricane's or other horrible floods, tornado's, etc., do you see them looking for a handout. Please drop that Katrina stuff.
Just my opinion on this Russia thing - seems like all the bad guys (commies, islamofaciasts) are getting together and ganging up on the nice guys. I can't see anything good coming out of that and things might just start getting really scary now. Our troops are tired and spread so far. I think maybe another Hiroshima might be the answer......

Well aybe not trops but aid for sure. The Ruusinas are coming back and it does'nt seem anyone will stop them.

Incase you didn't notice in the Business/Tech news:

The sale is expected to close this year’s fourth quarter.

STAFF REPORT

WHEATLAND, Pa. — A Russian company will buy the parent company of Wheatland Tube, the Wheatland plant confirmed Thursday.

Novolipetsk Steel, a leading Russian steel producer, has signed an agreement to acquire U.S. steel pipe and tube manufacturer John Maneely Co. from a shareholder group that includes The Carlyle Group, a private equity firm and the Zekelman family.

Novolipetsk, with headquarters in Lipetsk, Russia, will acquire JMC for $3.53 billion.

The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and is expected to close in the fourth quarter of this year.

JMC, with headquarters in Beachwood, Ohio, operates 11 plants in five U.S. states and Canada.

Novolipetsk, through a joint venture with Duferco Group, has two manufacturing plants in the United States — Duferco Farrell Corp. and Sharon Coating, LLC.

Duferco Farrell is already the key supplier of hot rolled coils to JMC, in particular to the Wheatland plant, to which it is closely located, the company said.

“We are delighted to have secured an entry into the highly attractive U.S. pipe and tube market,” said Vladimir Lisin, Novolipetsk chairman.

“We are proud to become part of the NLMK [Novolipetsk] steel family and believe the future is bright for the company and its dedicated employees,” said Barry Zekelman, JMC chief executive officer.

Tom Conway, international vice president of the United Steelworkers union, said: “We look forward to working with the new owners.”

I think tugboat has the right idea with the Hiroshima solution. The USA should kill all the bad guys. From your post that would include chocolates, commies, and islamofaciasts.

Just so we don't miss anyone how about the wops, kikes, dotheads, mics, crackers, spics, redskins, chinks, pollocks, ragheads, or anyone else on the planet that might be different than tugboat?

By cambridge (Anonymous) on 08/16/08

My apologies to tugboat. I meant tomcat.

I say let's go kick some Russian butt back to Moscow. If we don't, they will only do it again in Poland, Ukraine, or somewhere else.

By K_Paso (Anonymous) on 08/16/08

Tugboat, that is a good article you posted about Wheatland Tube being bought by a Russian firm. However, it may not be a good thing for the employees of that company.

My company was bought by a firm out of Tiawan. While I worked for them, they bought 3 more companies here in America and closed them down. Turns out they only wanted the customer base and not the employees nor buildings. Finally they closed my company and laid off the entire staff. Perhaps Wheatland Tube is a different story and will remain a working company in America. Time will tell.

The United States should send both troops and military aid, to our allies. Georgia is one of them; they have demonstrated support with troops in Iraq, to a much larger extent than other allies. In the word of President Kennedy and I am paraphrasing "We will support every friend and oppose any foe"
That is what friends do!

By metz87 (Anonymous) on 08/16/08

And Russia is no friend I would trust.

Mike Whitney, a popular Internet commentator, observed on August 11:

“Washington’s bloody fingerprints are all over the invasion of South Ossetia. Georgia President Mikhail Saakashvili would never dream of launching a massive military attack unless he got explicit orders from his bosses at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. After all, Saakashvili owes his entire political career to American power-brokers and US intelligence agencies. If he disobeyed them, he’d be gone in a fortnight. Besides an operation like this takes months of planning and logistical support; especially if it’s perfectly timed to coincide with the beginning of the Olympic games. (another petty neocon touch) That means Pentagon planners must have been working hand in hand with Georgian generals for months in advance. Nothing was left to chance.”8

surely not sice he would have ahd beeter help thenhe had. They got the crpa beat out of them so I doubt they did it on purose to get Russia to atatck them. Where do people come up wth this crap anyway?

By Tomcat (Anonymous) on 08/18/08

Hey Cambridge, your ranting is embarrassing. How do you get I want to Hiroshima all those other people. You are just stupid. Stop reading stuff into my postings that aren't there.

By cambridge (Anonymous) on 08/19/08

Hey Tomcat, I just wanted an up to date list of the people you want to Hiroshima.

None of my posts are rants. They are just opinions that happen to be different than yours.
