If the evidence shows that you are guilty beyond a reasonable doubt then see ya.

You take a life...you pay with your own. Only God can take a life...and only He has the power to do so.

I think what you meant to say that only God has the RIGHT to take a life....most of us have the POWER to do so.....

I believe in the death penalty, when the crime is deliberate and premeditated, a hate crime because of race, religion, etc.

The death penalty must stay. Too many bleeding heart liberals out there. The criminal must be made to pay for taking a life.

The death penalty needs to be streamlined, if anything. Give the killer criminals one appeal. If that appeal also determines the criminal should be put to death, he should be removed from the court room and dispatched.

Think how many millions upon millions of dollars that would save we taxpayers!!!

Some say only GOD has the right to kill or take a life . And some say KILL them all .
Once you kill someone , their punishment is over and they suffer no more .

So, topper, you're for keeping killers alive in a private room with room service, clean clothes, internet, cable TV, a library, and more, for 25 or 30 years? Plus waste millions of dollars on meaningless legal arguments over courtroom insignifica, in the hopes that one of the countless appeals will be before a soft-headed judge who legislates from the bench and tosses the capital punishment in favor of a lesser sentence?

I think the killers should die in the same manner they used on their victims.

How many did Jesus kill in God's name ?

There is no deterrent to a crime of passion.

If there is such thing as an "eye for an eye" with God being the ultimate judge, how many of you "believers," in both God and the death penalty, will be subjected to that very same judgement for your lack of compassion ?

How can you have compassion for a person who goes out and kills another person? I am talking about a person who deliberately commits a crime. People need to stand up and say that Enough is Enough. I am for keeping the death penalty.

He said Thou shall not Kill . PERIOD !!!
Nothing about what you or I think or who we should pick or choose.
That is up to him .

I'm against the death penalty but it has nothing to do with the people on death row. When they committed a capital crime they knew what the penalty was. I'm against it because as a society we need to raise ourselves above the level of the people that commit the crime, not lower ourselves to their level.

If you take a life you should be locked in a cell 24/7 365 for the rest of your life. The only thing in that cell should be a tv with one channel showing a loop of every photo ever taken of their victim. Give them something to think about.

if a person is convicted of a crime, beyond any doubt, they should be executed within 30 days, not 30 years (see danny lee hill).

What about "an eye for an eye?"

And papa1 is spot on. It's an obscenity that Danny Lee Hill is still alive, THIRTY YEARS after he so brutally and pervertedly did what he did to Raymond Fife.
