the gm cars being sold now have to be the safest on the road.
GM has made so many product blunders and corner cuts over the years that they have lost their reputation & position in the car industry. Americans cannot keep buying and carrying the all their blunders and debts anymore. When you see people driving foreign brands just remember... how & why the purchase swing all got started. Who left their back door open for imports to come in? Who kept signing new union contracts that they knew they couldn't afford in the end? Which major car manufacturer was committed to maintain never ending cuts & greed and decided to send our jobs & car industry to Mexico & Canada? And are these Canadian & Mexican made generation of junk cars being recalled now?? Which car manufacturer yanked longtime dealerships off of local brand dealer reps? Don't go wishing for what you want...because you just may get it! After GM and all their greed blew themselves up, they are still wearing the mess they made. And don't bother attacking me anyone...save your breath. I support the local car industry. However I stopped buying GM in 2011. Way too risky as you, a purchaser, may end up at the undertaker's office booking your final appearance. GM's manufacturing and finished product simply cannot be trusted anymore. Happy Fourth of July. May America, her military might and all her legal citizens push on despite all the greed and abuse she takes everyday single day. She is STILL the greatest nation in the world. Be proud. Be very proud!
According to Edmunds.com, there are 71 production vehicles manufactured by GM. 57 of them have recalls. Had a 2005 Colbalt that was a complete piece of garbage. Will never buy a GM new or used again.
if lordstown would close the only people living here would be 65 and older. other carmakers are also recalling vehicles.
I wouldn't have bought a GM car before all the recalls. These revelations only reinforced my impression of the company and most of their product.
I agree papa. EVERY major car maker has had recalls. All of them. Chrysler is in the news for waiting too long to recall. They face big fines. Where is that story in the Vindy? You won't see it front page. If everyone understood most of these problems began and ended with the engineers being lazy. The other problem lies with suppliers. The same supplier can be connected to 5 or 6 car manufacturers all buying parts from them. You want to point fingers? Point them at Japan not Lordstown. Your foreign rubbish has the same parts from the same supplier.
These parts where designed and made by Delphi. It is right , that it looks like their salary Engineers bought off a GM engineer . These are the salary Delphi who have been crying so much . The best thing is that The new GM has dumped Delphi . But they will fix all the bad Delphi parts .
To put it simply, I have no interest in GM cars... The only brands I'd consider for on my budget are Toyota, Honda, Subaru, or in rare instances Ford.
