The city officials care little for the safety of the kids. If they did they would station living, breathing police officers in strategic locations to catch the violators and issue a ticket on the spot.
This is just another way to extract money from people. Place cameras, send out tickets, and then wait for the money to roll in. Rest assured that cameras will be set up all over the city to make even more money from people who may commit some traffic violation.
Maybe they are trying to free up some officers to patrol the South Side and make good usage of the Shot Spotter System.....that's working well, right?
Maybe the city can also apply for federal funding to buy some drones....an "eye in the sky" is a lot better than one chained to a lamp post out front of a grade school.

Best advice I could give to Youngstown residents. Get out anyway you can. Another dumb idea like the high income tax they have. Why not put cameras in the hood if they're concerned about safety. There needs to be a reduction in council positions. Youngstown probably lost half their population since the 70's.

Obeying the law is giving up your rights? What have you been smoking or drinking? Here Im going to tick you off. Glen Beck is an alcoholic drug addicted idiot, so is Rush Limbaugh, Ted Nugent is a draft dodging pedophile. Obeying your countries laws is the right thing to do. I'd call you an idiot, but the fact that you posted this drivel shows it would have no impact on you!

I am not for giving up rights to be monitored by cameras that are controlled by local government, because they will abuse our liberties. Liberties that men and women before us have died to protect. Enough!

Just look at the NSA...

If anyone believes this is for the safety of the children is an idiot. This is to raise money for the city to give away.

It would take a teascummers to hold the constitution and bill of rights above the safety of kids. But what's really funny about these fake patriots is they really only defend the parts of both that they agree with.

Because it will cause idiots like you to finally obey laws that protect children. Not out of respect for the law but hit you in your wallet. Some morons need a little incentive to do what the rest of us do normally. How's that teascummer?
