To not report severe child abuse that you are aware of makes you complicid in the harm that comes to the innocent.

Wonder how many lied and voted Yes, but in a real life situation, would say, "Don't want to get involved." <which seems to be the majority of people>

I would without question report suspected child abuse. But a caveat: Childrens' Protective Services is just about a worthless organization when it comes to removing kids from abusive or unfit environments. Ask any cop.

I voted no! But, it really depends on the situation! Anything to do with child abuse or other "serious" crimes, absolutely get reported! Neighbor smoking weed or doing some work to his place without a permit...no...live and let live...

I have always and I will continue to stand up and tell the police what I saw if I witnessed a crime.

To hell with that no snitching stupidity. You shoot some one and I see it. I'm testifying.

It's truly amazing to me that only 29% of the people would report criminal or suspicious activity! It shows the mentality of our neighbors!

It really does depend on the situation. Would I report my neighbor if I had reasonable suspicion that a bomb was being built in his basement? ABSOLUTELY
On the other hand If I was suspicious that he might be cheating on his taxes by claiming the birdfood he puts out is a charitable deduction - NO

Now we know where the problem is ---not wanting to "snitch" on someone. What if it was YOU that was being molested, robbed ,etc --wouldn't you want someone to give information to the police.
