This was obviously the exceptional case - I doubt a similar incident will happen again in the next 20 years. And believe me, the cruise lines are learning from this incident, and will take steps to make sure the passengers in the future don't have to endure what they had to this time.
I suppose most of the voters in this poll are living in the Mahoning Valley, that being said most of the people in this backward community are afraid to go to Pittsburgh or Cleveland let alone take a cruise. This now gives them another excuse to bury their heads in the sand and just stay put and exist in this backward part of the great state of Ohio.
hey george, thanks for your advice regarding our community. So next time, instead of me taking your wife to the motel 6 down the road, maybe i'll take her on a cruise. or maybe i'll just take her to the motel 6 in cleveland -- or pittsburgh even!! Great tip, thanks
This is just another reason for me to say NO WAY to Mrs. Vindyak. Diseases, strange illnesses, food poisoning, ships running aground, fires, overflowing toilets, people lost at sea...what more could deter people than that? Next will come running into an iceberg...wait...that's already been done...how 'bout running into a wayward oil rig? Or pirates at sea? Or terroists crashing a jet into a ship with 4000 people on board? When you are in International waters you are a sitting duck where anything could happen and you have no place to run.
No thanks, wifey, I think I'll keep my boots on ole terra firma for a few more years.
What's that Mrs. Vindyak...you think I'm nuts? No, just practical...and always looking out for your safety.
Free...thanks for your motivational comment, but I moved out to the 'burbs a few years ago. I had no choice and it cost me big time, but, as I look back, I feel better about it. Especially after driving back to my old street and seeing the decay. It is sad to see and it hurts to see what people have done to our neighborhoods, but I feel cutting our losses was the only solution to our safety.
That's ok Vindy ,but the crime is out here in Boardman and Poland to . And as far as the decay ,just drive around Boardman and you can see that we have it here and is getting worst every month.
Our daughter just got back from a cruise last week and her luggage was lost for 2 days on the cruise ship. They could not find it! Can you imagine 2 days without a change of clothes and all your personal belongings? Sure, they supplied her with some clothing and she shared with friends, but...
