Arm teachers.

Anyone old enough around here remembers gun clubs in schools -- in primary school.

There was never any shooting issue or horseplay.

Insane that children are held hostage in schools and not a soul in the place has proper means of defense.

I've been looking at this - ONCE - every day, and it's been very close. Today, the "NO" votes are 'way ahead. Someone had too much time on their hands. Too bad the Vindy can't figure a way to only allow one vote, or even one vote per day. Until they can fix this, these polls are nothing but a waste of space.

Just thinking !! what happens when some big 16 year old football type over powers this teacher and takes the gun away . If it is locked up in a safe then what good is it in a emergency ?? Most of these type of shooting are over in a few minuets or less . Locking down the school with a outside guard . And stopping all cars coming on the school
grounds to get the kids . Think how easy to drive in with a big bomb and take out most of the school and most of the kids .

rmzez, think a little further. ALL the mass shootings stop when an armed person - cop or civilian - stands up to the shooter. The sooner someone stops the shooter, the less the carnage.

"What if some big 16 year old overpowers the teacher"?? If that teacher allows him or her self to be overpowered while they have a gun, shame on them.
