It should be mandatory for all the haters that post on Vindy. You people need to learn how to relax.
Looks like the freaks are out and hitting the no button . Just like all Gop/kkk/tea types
Who are these sad ,lonely people who have nothing better to do than repeatedly vote their antiquated views on Vindy polls? I mean we get many of you would like to return to the good old days of the 1950's but the reality is those days are gone. Join the 21st century for a change.
Yeah can you believe this sphincter head sat there voting over and over. I remember during the election this a$$hole sat on here pounding the key for Romney over and over. Pathetic.
725 "no", yet not one single "no" comment.
I'm just curious, is Dick Morris and Fox News going to say that this will be a landslide when it comes to any actual vote?
Gdog, the stoners would have voted over and over, too, but they forgot what they were doing, so they went to the kitchen for a snack.
Do any of you dopers really think legalizing pot would help our economy? That garbage has rotted your brain if you do. Yeah, yeah, they can tax it. But where does it come from? Are we going to now have farmers growing the stuff alongside the road? And how do they prevent theft? We'd have idiots driving out to where it's grown, grabbing a handful, and drive around smoking it. Like we need MORE impaired drivers on the road.
Also, the illegal drug traffickers aren't going to just stop - there'd be a bloody war if we tried to take their income away from them. Look how they treat each other - who's naive enough to think they wouldn't treat any other 'competition' the same way?
Oh, and I voted once in this poll.
Ok here's a No vote for you. Happy?
whether they do or don't it will not affect me therefore I don't care.
Maybe if all drugs were legalized and regulated there would be less deaths, especially in Youngstown/Warren. Sad either way.
I'm a litte torn on this one, on one side I have friends who are not drinkers but enjoy pot, they are discreet, productive tax paying citizens with families. I used to dabble in the cheeba myself, but don't do to terms of my employment. On the flip side, I can see people abusing it, like the ones collecting welfare and foodstamps, not taking care of their homes, and smoking it in front of their children who will likely turn into their parents and suck the system. When I think about the later, i say keep it illegal.
The problem is that the ones not talking care of thier children and smoking pot in front of them are doing it now ...even though it is illegal.
There are significant ecological benefits to legalizing the HEMP plant, not to be mistaken for the plant used to produce recreational marijuana. A one acre plot, planted in hemp, can be harvested TWICE A YEAR, as opposed to traditional trees only being harvested ONCE EVERY 60 YEARS (minimum) and produce many of the same products!
Even if it's legalized, it doesn't mean that an employer can no longer test for/refuse to hire on that basis. Employers in Ohio can reject candidates for tobacco use, so it just stands to reason they can reject for this reason as well.
And that's ignoring that it's still a federal violation.
