Why would you discourage visitors from coming here? There's not that much to bring people here anyways so why penalize them?

It is always a wonder that commissioners and all politicians want to just raise the cost, charge more fees, and get new taxes. It’s the easy answer for everything.

How about getting creative starting a Mahoning County campaign to lower the bed tax in exchange for the hotels to run advertising to encourage tourism.

The next time they have an idea like this, why doesn't the Vindicator just tell them We don’t think so, Maybe you should all just take pay cuts to set an example and create some goodwill.
It’s just so easy to tax everyone to death!

The county should be giving anyone that comes to town a free pizza. These folks never seize to amaze me in their arrogance.

And they want to send the money from the extra bed tax to the port authority, which hasn't helped to create one job in the Valley since it hired a director two years ago.
