"right to work" is nothing more than a race to the bottom. The real reason business wants "right to work" is because even though big business out spends unions at least 10 to 1 during elections they want to be able to buy their government with no interference from the masses.
It didn't work in the last election and it wont work now. The law in Michigan will eventually be overturned and the ones who voted for it will be tossed aside.
The teabagger/republican war against the masses has failed because they can't accept that they lost so they'll be mean spirited pricks instead. Every time they pull crap like this they lose the real Republicans that were interested in moving America forward which is why all that is left are the defective and irrelevant.
Michigan will overturn it if they wish to continue in the ways which have created today's version of Hell on Earth, aka Detroit. Union membership in private industry now a meager 5%. Horse and Buggy, High-button shoes, 8-Track tapes, and finally Labor Unions; all dead and gone. Time to (As the progressives like to say), Move Forward!
I see the same right wingers that have nothing to do but inflate the results of Vindy polls are at it again. Get a hobby folks.
Ok...for the record. This is a plea for an intelligent discussion. Could someone please explain "Right to work" for the masses, why does it benefit employees and why do 35 states already have it.
Why did our state governments suspend "right to work" and allow employers and unions to agree to a "closed shop" and force employees to pay union dues?
Then please explain why employees should not be allowed "Right to work".
We want to know, and we want to know what the benefits are. We have the right to know this in order to make an informed decision. Let's hear it.
What's wrong with a man standing on his own two feet, people?
Right to work does that - without having some blood-sucking union boss siphoning cash from your paycheck.
Unions are passe in this country... Pretty soon the only ones left to beat the impotent union drum will be the cry-baby teachers... oh...oh... don't criticize them... they CARE about our kids... HA! HA! HA!
MAN-UP OHIO! Become the next right-to-work state!
Show those unions that you don't need their corruption!
Don't act like a bunch of women anymore!
There has been a big jump in the No's in the "Should Ohio become a right-to-work state?"I'll bet that blah, IM, Cambridge & other libs have voted like the dead vote in Chicago - many times
These scum bag right wingers want's to drive down the wages of the workers in Ohio.lol
All the manufacturing that used to be here has fled to Right to Work states to escape the gold-bricking Union so-called leadership that chased them out. Let's see the Unions start their own business with their own money. Ha Ha, You have to have vision, brains and a work ethic to do that!. Not a mob mentality.
ulistenup is at it again, showing his/her ignorance. you make fun of teachers and laugh at the idea that they care about your kids. hahaha. well yesterday teachers DIED protecting your kids, you ignorant ignorant creature.
Low blow! Those teachers were heroes - not like the ones I am talking about.
Nice how you think you can judge who is good and who isn't. Idiot.
Ignorant?... Idiot?... Who's judging now?
Yep, gotta pay Union dues that go to political parties. Just think if that money went into a retirement fund, and if the Execs of the Union, made the same wages as its members, or the expenses they claim for working for you. Yep a good way to spend YOUR Money.
If the quality of your work demands a higher pay then you get it. If you are just a Union Thug, or one who does the minimum, then you get paid the minimum.
Why are there Communistic terms associated with the Union? Can anyone explain that? In South Carolina BMW pays well and they pay no union.
I'm judging you based on the plentitude of evidence of your ignorance, ulistenup, whereas you are categorically denouncing teachers as horrible people.
Except of course the ones who gave up their lives for children. You knew they were heroes before they became heroes, though, I'm sure.
Only 5% of the private workforce belongs to a Union. 'Nuff said!
