Using a county issued vehicle, cell phone, and work time to meet a working girl......sounds like theft in office to me or at the very least a violation of the Ohio code of ethics.
My preference would be for the county to seek restitution for the time, phone minutes, gasoline/wear and tear/mileage on the vehicle. Should not be too hard to review the phone records for time/usage/etc. and go on from there.
The alleged preference given to certain contractors over others would most likely be a violation of Ohio Revised Code re: obtaining proper bids for public projects and works.
Then I'd go after his pension and go for jail time.....sending a message to all other public employees.
This is what's wrong about having partisan politics at all levels of government - you can never have a really independent enquiry . However , at least bring in someone with no Valley connections ; & give them wide terms of reference .
I'd like to know more about why the Commissioners want to force more of my tax dollars to be spent with union members .
I might have accepted Mr Lyden's sacking , but the panicked handling of it doesn't pass the "smell test"

Why spend extra money? We have a proscecutor. If he did something wrong, investigate and prosecute it.
I agree with those above. If you can't be objective on investigating someone in or out of politics, then get someone in here who can.....then step down and let them continue doing the job you can't do.
